My Interests

My daughter, Aleisha

Music:

I like all kinds of music ranging from the 60's to the present. Two of my all-time favorites are Stevie Nicks and Rob Thomas.

Movies:

Phantom of the Opera, Thelma and Louise, Deep Impact, Signs, Pearl Harbor, Friday The 13th, Joy Ride, The Count Of Monte Cristo...

Television:

CSI, Crossing Jordan, The 4400, Law & Order SVU, House, Monk, Heroes, Jericho, and Desperate Housewives. Favorite quote from Desperate Housewives, Gabrielle: "Do you know how bored I was today? I came THIS CLOSE to actually cleaning the house!"

Books:

I have been a big fan of Stephen King for years. I also enjoy Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta Mysteries. Oh, and the Harry Potter books, can't forget them! Right now I am reading a Nora Roberts book recommended by my friend Kim.

Heroes:

Beside the obvious heroes like policemen, soldiers, and firefighters, I admire people who believe in and work for causes that benefit humanity and improve the lives of others.
This is Oreo helping me with some gardening. Oreo is very particular about who her friends are and she will either like you or she won't. She isn't mean so if she doesn't like you she won't bite or scratch, but with all the "cattitude" she has, I'm fairly certain she would flip you off if she could LOL
Tiger is the most laid back, patient cat I have ever known. We had two kittens recently and Tiger was so good with them. He would just lay there while the kittens played with his tail, scratched, bit and swatted at him. He groomed them and watched out for them just as if he was their mother. The only thing he didn't do was nurse them. Tiger is my hero.
Shyla's name fits her perfectly. She is shy and doesn't trust easily. It takes a while to earn her trust, but it's well worth it because she is a very sweet and affectionate cat.
