I would describe myself as tall, thin and gangling, with freckles, big hands and feet, blue eyes, and a long nose. I have the trademark red hair of a Weasley and I’m indeed one of Harry's tallest schoolmates, even outgrowing some of my older brothers.
My wand is fourteen inches, willow and unicorn hair. People tend to think that I’m the least intelligent out of the Trio, though I always seem to achieve average marks on my OWLs - about the same as Harry, apparently, except that Harry earns an "O" at DADA and I didn’t. However, I think I have shown signs of incredible tactical ability, as evidenced by my near-mastery of Wizard's Chess (which is played exactly like normal chess but with living pieces). Because I’m accident prone, my talents are rarely shown.
I was born on March 1st 1980 to Arthur and Molly Weasley, the sixth of seven children, and the youngest son. My middle name, Bilius, is the same as that of my deceased uncle. I grew up in the family home, The Burrow, near the village of Ottery St Catchpole in Devon. I have various siblings; my five older brothers, Bill, Charlie, Percy, twins Fred and George, and a younger sister, Ginny, each with their own distinct personality trait.
I would describe us Weasleys as an old pure-blood Wizarding family. I consider us to be a relatively poor family, and despite my father's promotion from head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office at the Ministry of Magic to Head of the Office for the Detection and Confiscation of Counterfeit Defensive Spells and Protective, we seem to remain financially strained.
