I was thinkin bout this today when I was trying to think about nothing... aka meditating... so that i wouldnt get out of my car and beat the shit out of the slow guy in front of me that doesnt know how to drive... And there are alot of simularities... for example, money... government employers get paid by taxes, and taxes allow for our government to exist and perform its duties. The people who work for the church get paid by our donations, which initially were was not charity but a price for indulgences. Also, the church can only exist through donations. Basically, the church and the state went two different directions in collecting money... one set the price that a person HAD to pay, while the other bargoned for a price that a person should pay...
