About Me

For the individuals who are clueless about Clarence "LaMont" Moore, here's a little bit of info about him. He was born in St. Louis, Mo in the streets of the northside and later find out that music was his passion. At age 4, he began to practice the fine craft of rhythm, relating to music. While steady practicing and being determined to perfect his love for drums, he started taking lesson at age 6 and continued during so until the age of 15 where he started to take interest in the piano. He attended The Youth Gospel Music Conference taking lesson under the direction of Janice Moorehead and Charlotte B. Brown until he reach the age of 17. His God given talents are talents that defines him. At age 17, the young and gifted musician started to learn how to play the bass by ear and is still studying hard to perfect it, as well as the other instruments.After graduating from Gateway Institute of Technology High school studying Electrical Engineering, he took it upon himself to broaden his horizon in music and get the background in music education that he would need in order to start his mission on this earth. In 2005 he made a new home for himself studying drums at Atlanta Institute Of Music in Atlanta, Ga where he now resides. In June of 2007, Clarence graduated from AIM and now he is planning on continuing his education at GSU where he will work hard and focus on receiving his bachelor's degree in Music Education. Until then, he is constantly practicing and doing what he is best at.In November of 2007 he started working with the sensational RnB, Pop artist, Silena Murrell. Her hit single, "Bring It Home" by Scott Storch, charted on Billboard’s Urban AC within the first 2 weeks of its release, at number 38 making quite an impact. Influences: As far as drummers, he listens to alot of Dave Weckl, Billy Cobham and Tony Royster Jr. Tony has been an influence in his life in the short period that he has known him. Shout out to ya Tony!!! If you don't know this guy Tony Royster Jr., get to know him. He's very impressive.As far as the bands who influences him, Chick Corea and the Yellow Jackets. "The song structure from these guys are incredibly amazing and put together well."Also any and every one else who is doing there thing and making success happen!
Sounds Like: For the most part LaMont sounds like a professional musician who knows how to set the atmosphere for the appropriate occasion. But when it's time to show off, he blows minds!!!
