SHORT BIO:
• September 2006. Shurik and Mouse form the band. Mouse on guitar and Shurik on drums.
• September 2006. Mouse’s schoolmate Alex buys bass guitar and joins the band.
• 26 October 2006. The Snips play their first gig together with More&Relsy from Russia.
• November 2006. The Snips record 3 songs at their own studio. It was – “Touch You”, “To All The Girls They Had Before”, “Cocaine Flowers”.
• December 2006. The Snips got airplay on SWH Rock Radio (the biggest rock radio in Baltic). Mentioned by DJ's as the most promising thing in the City.
• March 2007. The Snips participate in the Flashlight contest at Fontaine Palace Club and are through to the semi-finals. Praised by most famous music critic in Latvia Uldis Rudaks.
• June 2007. The Snips won Flashlight contest among 35 Latvian bands and got the prize: Studio time in Black Tornado Studios in Copenhagen all expenses paid, Full CD production with cover design, Tour around the Baltic States with promotion support.
• July 2007. Sharing the stage with Bloodhound Gang from the USA. Touring Latvian biggest indie open airs.
• August 2007. The Snips record “Garage 64” again at their own studio.
• September 2007. “Garage 64” is on the radio.
• November 2007. The Snips recorded the album in Copenhagen.
• February 2008. The Snips make their debut in London, England.
• Summer 2008. Playing open airs with such bands like Ten Years After (UK) and Sham 69 (UK).
• December 2008. The Snips make their debut in Vilnius, Lithuania.
• NOW. Remaking the album recorded in Copenhagen. Working and recording new songs at The Snips studio. Open to play gigs.
