I am a songwriter/singer, in that order. I love the art or craft of songwriting and I have been writing songs since I was about 12 years old. I play guitar and enjoy all kinds of music, although my real love is New Country or pop Country music. I really love life and feel that every day is a blessing. Just to breath...smell, see, hear, taste, feel...what a blessing. And every new day is a gift.I have had a long career in radio and television sales and sales management, but right now I am following my dream of becoming an accomplished and published song-writer. I have definately written "hit" songs. Now I want to get them cut!I was part of a mother-daughter duo performing with my daughter for several years. As a duo, we performed as the opening act for Lonestar, Kenny Rogers, Sammy Kershaw, Billy Ray Cyrus, Wade Hayes, Rick Trevino and Diamond Rio, (at the Grand Ole' Opry), to name a few. We have had several songs on the radio getting much coveted airplay in an industry with very tight airplay space. Each song that was played generated a strong response on the request lines and helped to strengthen the concert appearances we did in the area. Our songs topped the charts on many radio stations, helping to develop a strong and loyal following. Writing and singing brought us to Nashville to pursue both of our dreams. My daughter has been working on a solo career and just released her first record. I am putting my focus into my first love.....songwriting.I am also currently working as an artists manager and television producer. I created my own Reality TV Show concept, "BREAKOUT- the Road to Stardom". We just finished shooting the pilot and are now pitching it for distribution. I also produce music videos and commercials for television. I have a strong background in sales and marketing strategies and hope to use these skills to develop and produce this show and to advance the careers of Country Music Artists that I believe have the talent to "make it" in this business.I love everything about entertainment and the industries that support and promote it...it's what I do and what I love to do....so when I'm not writing songs, I'm working on some aspect of the entertainment industry!I am into being physically fit and I spend much of my off time in the gym. I was once a gymnast and even hosted my own TV fitness show called "Just for the Health of it". I love running and biking and I even play a bit of ice hockey. Keeping physically fit is a constant goal and a contant reminder that we are not invincible!I am not afraid of hard work. I understand the sacrifices required to be successful in the business of songwriting. Writing songs is my greatest passion and it is the one "gift" that I really want to share with the world.I also believe that everyone is blessed with "gifts"...the challenge is to discover yours and share it!!
