The Dirty Mac - Lowdown n' dirty Blues

About Me

THE DIRTY MAC - With lowly beginnings in the murkey depths of a Northeast Philadelphia basement, two unremarkable brothers began to play some tunes. One made use of a few old harmonicas, and the other played on a 'borrowed' electric guitar. The two were good, but they were missing some key elements. It was from these beginings that the semblances of a band began to form....with one goal - to slay the demons of weak-ass music. Like a phoenix from the sky, a man... a great man... a Guitarist, joined forces with these two. Like air to a fire, he stoked the flames of rock within the humble sibilings. Some day later a mean one came down to add some much needed bottom. This third brother fit in tight as a splinter. Following a period of gestation, a caveman was thawed from his slumber. After a drifter gifted him a couple of warm chicken bones, he quickly fashioned them into a set of drum-sticks, and began to lay down a serious groove. A band was established specializing in revamping hallowed blues numbers, and putting a Dirty Mac stamp on some of their favorite rock n roll songs from days past. This is the fruits of their labor!
The Dirty Mac can be found performing their hard charging blues and rock n' roll in a barroom or smelly bordello near you, breathing life into the music scene in their small corner of the world.
I don't play rock music. It's rock AND roll. The roll is where the blues is at, the gospel, the swing. -Marc Ford
