About Me
Since a teenager I've been known to be heading in multiple directions at the same time and nothing has changed. Whether its having a family, building a career, working up a band, audio/visual experiments, art projects, freelance non-conformity, white collar crime I go for it all. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But it is my calling. I never give up and NEVER WILL! Twinged with ironic inflatability and ensconced in multi-genre passports; I'm a chameleon. You will find me in situations that you would never think I'd be in. Spent the better part of half my life earning a living in the field of writing, producing, editing, shooting, creating from middle America. And because I have a well rounded knack for many things I will take on projects of several genres. I've written short stories, plays, screenplays, poetry, lyrics, spoofs, jingles, music, songs. I've been in several music projects with a variety of styles from punk, rock, alternative, musical theater, blues, jazz, bluegrass. Produced plays, tv shows, commercials, sports, short films. For 6 years I've been the sole operator of the Fan Cam at Arrowhead stadium for the Chiefs home games; its a fully operational camera on the end of a 15 foot jib arm in which I swing over the crowd. I'll basically do whatever the market bears. Except news. I'm not a fan of reality. I'd be a gypsy in a heartbeat if it didn't mean giving up everything else. I've travelled Europe, Australia, Canada, India and lots of the U.S.. It's been a while since a grand excursion. Having proposed to my now wife at the Taj Mahal you could say I'm a romantic of hopeless stature. I have a good memory for people I meet but for the most part forgettable to most. I love optical illusions and anagrams. I want to believe in UFOs, ghosts, bigfoot, nessie. Still haven't chased a single tornado. ----------- One of my recent endeavors is playing stand up bass pretending to be the great plains official regional assistant sub-chief WiseAcre!! ---- 2007 had me collaborating with friend Gunther Dedmund and his tv show The Basement Sublet of Horror. I also helped out with the Victor Continental Show this year. AND the Wild West Film Festival.------ 2008 has yet to reveal its projects in full but some captivating irons are in the fire. In January I met a new friend Paul Santos who is the key mastermind behind a puppet troupe The Felt Show here in Lawrence. He chose my title idea to describe the toilsome fleece wars between the rival puppet group Shitty Deal Puppet Theater and The Felt Show. For now I'll be contributing some writing and production elements for them. Hopefully this will lead to even more puppet mayhem. We may collaborate in the making of a pilot. Pre-St. Patty's Day I was asked to sit in with The Western Gaels, an Irish jig band. I hope to do more of that. Helped on a thriller/sci fi short for SenoReality Pictures. Met some really nice folks doing some excellent, creative work. I am a lucky fellow to have all these outlets. Sponsored an endorsed by a very compassionate wife and family. ~~~~~~ In case you are wondering..... between all these activites, my family, and freelancing for Chiefs and KU.... YES I have too much going on, but that's the way it is. +++++ TURN ME ON TO SOMETHING!!!!! ++++ I'm always looking for new friends and people to collaborate with.
