22 yr. old Tennessee street rapper Darealist a.k.a Trez , government name Antonio Latrez Halliburton, became serious about pursing a rap career at the age of 16. Going from his bedroom and kitchen tables graduating to streets and stages he wasn’t quite sure where to begin. He entered competitions and talent shows hoping to get a spark. For 2 yrs. the undefeated 3-time freestyle champion went unnoticed. Crossing over to adult age in which his lyrics had to entertain a more mature audience, he decided to step his game up. He began writing and rapping continuously until he felt he was lyrically impressive. Coming from a small town where not a lot of opportunities are offered and not having the funds for studio time the determined rapper dreams were set on the shelf for 2 yrs. Finally at age 20 he hooked up with long time friend Atticus the Devious K.I.D., owner of A RAGDOG Production, and he recorded his debut mixtape , “Da Game Needs Me – Da Mix-CD.†He jumped out head first without much guidance and advice, but it definitely was a start. A couple of months after the release he hooked with an well-established manager from Atlanta, GA with the intentions of advancing his career. After several months of guidance Trez and his manager went their separate ways. He immediately continued pursing his rap dreams with a recording company located in Memphis,TN. After the release of mix-cd in Sept. 2006 Darealist encountered a time period in which he was overwhelmed with personal dilemmas and wasn't sure he wanted to continue rapping. After regaining confidence and momentum he returned to the game. Darealist also known as Trez is expected to be a valuable asset to the music industry and said to have unlimited potential. He consistently continues to grow as an artist becoming a better rapper than yesterday everyday!
