I grew up in the outback of Australia but then when I was nine my parents decided it would be a good idea to move to...South Jersey.... I'm obsessed with all animals and make irritating voices when I see something like a beaver on TV. I feel it's my duty (and yours too!) to recycle everything & admit to becoming a lunatic when I see animal abuse, animal testing, and factory farm footage. Drastic changes must be made by each and every person that inhabits this amazing planet otherwise we as human beings will be the sole culprit of our earth's early demise. I strongly believe that conscious, unselfish, earth-friendly choices made daily by each person truly can make a difference.... no matter how insignificant your impact may seem. STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND STOP BEING LAZY... I nor anyone else care why you don't want to change. Get off your ass and DO YOUR PART!
I refuse to welcome 'speciesism' as an acceptable mindset. Just as sexism and racism is a ridiculous waste of energy, being prejudice against any being just because they aren't human is completely irrational. I am and will be permanently enraged, frustrated, and appalled at the way in which we treat our planet as a whole until the glorious day we as a race reevaluate our daily 'normalcy's' and start viewing life as the beautiful and precious gift it truly is.

"Earthlings" - part 1 of 3. The full version here.... Earthlings - watch and reflect - it'll change your life.
"We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature, and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creatures through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren; they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendor and travail of the earth." - Henry Beston
