About Me

7 guys from Goole of differing ages, musical tastes and musical ability regularly get together to create the tunes on this page. Occasionally they drum up the energy and courage to write out a set list and play the tunes live in front of you good people. We are Gran Chaco.Between the seven of us we have a massive number of influences, which results in a range of genres too wide to fit in the three options given to us on Myspace. Depending on the setting, or the mood, you may hear us play Reggae, Ska, Funk, Afro-beat, Cuban, Latin... yadda yadda yadda! I'm sure Itunes would call us "World" even thou we're Yorkshiremen. Thanks for visiting us, have a good look around and hope you enjoy the site! If you like what you hear join our fan list at Gran Chaco Community and we'll keep in touch. If you wanna hear more come to the Gran Chaco Shop and download some tracks. Don't be scared to message us, we'll always try and get back to you!GC

Sounds Like: We sound like a mixture of all the music we like and don't stick to any genre for too long, but it all comes out sounding like Gran Chaco. We've made our first album The Cube Angle from 2005 available here for a quid. Just click on the link, then select your country and mobile network at the top of the page so the prices become visable. I know it's a little cheeky expecting you to pay, but it covers the VAT and the websites percentage, and if we make any money out of it we're considering ways of giving it back (sorry for sounding like a charity!). Ideas in the pipeline are to maybe create prizes for best reviews/advice on our tracks, or to make multi track versions of our songs available for download and have a remix competition. Think "Yesterdays News" would sound better with a 303 bassline and some trance chords? Send us messages and let us know what you think and any ideas you may have, and join our Gran Chaco Community . If you don't want to part with your cash, three of our latest tunes are currently available for free download on the Myspace player up top. Thanks for reading!! GC
