Chrissy Bowden

Chrissy Bowden is an emerging singer/songwriter from Brisbane, Australia. Her acoustic folk/pop songs tell stories of her own experiences of life, love and loss, written with refreshing honesty and deep sensitivity, often so lacking in pop music of today.Chrissy’s songs are often simple, but beautiful arrangements for strings, piano, and guitar result in a sound that is far from typical. She desires to create music that directly touches her listeners, both musically and lyrically, and believes that to do this she must always write and perform from the heart. Therefore her songs are always based on her own experience, carefully translated into words and music.Born in Brisbane, Chrissy has gained much experience as a live performer. She began performing at the age of ten while taking dance classes, and instantly loved being on stage. By the age of eighteen, Chrissy was performing as the lead singer for various covers bands around Brisbane, which took her on tours to China and Thailand, and is currently the lead vocalist for “The Queensland Pops Jazz Orchestra”.
