A seasoned performer, she captures and delights all manner of audiences, from New York queens to English princes.
Her acts are Performance Art - meets - Variety - meets - Comedy using punkrock-attitude informed circus skills. "Kalki Hula Girl has worked comedy into her impressive hula hoop routine with great skill" (What's On Stage).
She honed her creative and visual style in New York at the turn of the century where she burst onto the Variety circuit , primarily with the avant-guarde Bindlestiff Family Cirkus with whom she spent a year; developed and debuted the first ever seen in NYC hula-striptease. Comedic of course. This morphed into the now long-standing French Maid act.

Kalki has performed extensively with the cutting-edge Variety show Medium Rare (London and Sweden), La Clique in the Famous Spiegel Tent (Edinburgh, Dublin, Melbourne) and at numerous venues worldwide; intimate variety shows, exclusive private parties, corporate events, and festivals. Even for a season in a trad circus in Alaska.
Sometime puppeteer/ object manipulater; one-time sculptor, she now uses hula hoops to be living sculpture. Born in San Francisco, she calls herself Melbournian Australian & now lives in London but there's still a bit of New York stuck in her teeth.
All of her acts involve an element of humour or irony.
She was raised in a bizarre, obscure blood-sucking cult.
More fruit-bat than vampire; she's really 596 years old but this new-fangled ethersphere navigating device will not allow that fact, so a new age has been invented. She can't abide being in the sun or it getting it's filthy rays all over her but accedes that it must exist in order for fruit to exist, and fruit is really really important.
