Blake "TROUBLE" Franklin was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. At the age of six, Blake started taking Tae Kwon Do lessons under three time World Kickboxing champion Charlton Young. Blake quickly excelled at Tae Kwon Do, but wanted to take the next step. He started kickboxing at the age of eight, and within a year at the age of nine, Blake won the Louisana State straw weight title. At the age of eleven Blake started training with world-reknown boxing coach, Shreveport's own Ray "Sugar" Paxton. Paxton made a big impact on Blake's fighting style and career. Paxton led Blake to win six state Golden Glove titles, three mid-south titles, and two Jr. Olympic Titles. While training with Paxton, Blake did not forget his past in kickboxing. With Charlton Young still in his corner, Blake captured an unprecedented three amateur World Titles. In 2007, Blake along with his training team decided it was time for him to take the next step. Blake turned professional on May 11th against a game opponent, Blake won by knockout 59 seconds into the first round. With both Charlton Young, and Ray Paxton in his corner, Blake looked impressive. Since turning pro, Blake, then looking for a challenge turned his focus on now dominiating the world of M.M.A. After a somewhat rocky start, Blake is now working on his weakness and is out to prove all the doubters and nay-sayers wrong. Love him or hate him, Blake "TROUBLE" Franklin is a force to be reckoned with whether it's in the ring or the cage.
