JADO was christened, Dwayne Walker in Spanish Town, (the capital of St. Catherine, Jamaica, W.I.) on October 7th, 1981. Being born under the zodiac sign of Libra, JADO was destined to possess a strong, creative nature. JADO spent most of his youth living in and around St. Catherine. Currently, he and his mother reside in the tough Spanish Town (affectionately known as “Spainâ€) community of Central Village. To divert his attention away from the violence that tends to plague his Community, JADO hones his writing skills and focuses on his God-given creative ability to “chat pon di mic’â€. JADO has fine-tuned his vocal delivery so well, that he seems to sit on a riddim like a chair and holds his position steadily.It was while attending White Marl Primary where a young JADO became interested in music. This fascination with the art-form continued on throughout his adolescence while attending Waterford High School. Even upon his graduation from St. Andrew Technical High School (ST.A.T.H.S.)in 2001, JADO wrote music and prepared for the day when he would record his first solo track. “I made my first professional recording at Kingston’s Black Scorpio Recording Studio in 2006.†says the passionate JADO. “All my years of writing and rehearsing my craft paid off!†Pay off indeed, for JADO scored his first recording contract with Donsome Records, owned by the Label’s CEO, Ras Handsome. Ras Handsome has been quoted as saying that JADO is “Maaaad!!!†when it comes to his lyrical writing ability and style. JADO’s debut single was released on BoBo Productions/Donsome Records and is entitled “Poverty†on the “life Journey†riddim. The “Life Journey†riddim features established artistes like Jah Mason and Dr. Marshall, as well as new-comers Erasto, and Ras Handsome. All of these songs were released on the BoBo Productions Record Label and were distributed through Donsome Records.In conjunction with the “Life Journey†riddim, there is also a medley video that features “Povertyâ€. So far, four of the tracks on the “Life Journey†riddim are on the Medley video. JADO’s “Poverty†leads out the four-pack cultural video clip, as well as he has solidified himself as Donsome Records first signee. JADO is steadily enjoying recognition by his peers in the Dancehall Fraternity, as this video is getting rotation on CVM-TV,RE-TV, RE-24TV, “Link-Up Media†(in the States) and other local Cable stations. It is also featured online, where viewers can see it on PeppaPot.com. JADO encourages his fans to link him online as well via his MySpace Page - - MySpace.com/dwjado.As if that were not enough for a solo debut, JADO just completed a dynamic remix of another single, “Galchesta†on the infectious “Galchesta†riddim. That tune is also is receiving rotation on radio stations around the world. JADO also shot his second music video for “Galchesta†, which will be serviced to the Media by the beginning of the New Year. Also, set to commence in early 2007, waiting In the wings is another sure to be hit for JADO. “I’m Not Like Youâ€, which was voiced on the “Hard Rock†riddim, will be released on the D-Rock Records/Donsome Records Label.Watch out for JADO in 2007, as he prepares to hit the streets hard with upcoming tour dates overseas and more, more, MORE good music!!!
