About Me

Hailing from the small town of Caledonia 20 km south of Hamilton On, Toxic Shock formed in 2002 with three members then aged eleven years. They spent many years as a trio consisting of guitarist Craig O’ Connell, lead vocals and guitarist Josh Harrison and drummer Martin Bellamy. The band began playing covers than naturally evolved, writing a collection of original songs; including fan favorites Sneak You Past, And My Head. They’ve welcomed additional members over the years however the right fit eluded them until 2007 when Kevan Parkin joined the band as bassist. Influenced by the sounds of G&R, Motley Crue and Broken Teeth the bands exceptional metal/ rock sound is a unique collaboration combing both traditional and contemporary styles. Appreciated by a diverse group of fans, they rock locally in the south western Ontario area, regularly lending their talents to promote local music and charitable causes. For the next several months the band will be focusing on writing new material and recording some of their fan favorites. Check out the bands myspace for upcoming shows, photos and more. If you enjoy Toxic Shock’s sound be sure to check them out live they can really rock the house making new fans each time they play. Toxic Shock are the 2007 winners, in the battle of the bands, at both the Caledonia and Burford fairs. Labeled as the future sound of rock, by the kick ass band Broken Teeth out of Austin Texas, the band continues to advance and extend their range.
