This is us, trying our best, trying to be better. When you wake up in the morning and think to yourself, "Maybe I should have spent more time listening..." or, "Something should be done about 'this' or 'that'..." then, you see, we're not much different. This is us walking our best, and trying to talk alot less. This music is one of the ways in which our trying manifests and we hope it leaves you with a kind of encouragement...the type that leaves you smiling unknowingly...

--- Matrimony is a band to be taken somewhat lightly, with coffee and perhaps a good steak, unless of course you’d prefer tofu. Either way, this band will leave you with a good taste in your mouth. This collective, idealistic as it may sound, is about the pursuit of music as well as community. It aims to bring people together, regardless of genre, as opposed to condescend its way into the scene. Due to the artistic and experimental nature of the music of Matrimony, many members have flowed in and out. However, its core members remain to be “Boot†Arreola (lead vocals & guitar, synth), Jason Crist(guitar, vocals, synth, some percussion), Rocky Caddell (drums, vocals) and Taylor Huckaby (synth, keys, vocals). This band has had the great privilege of sharing the stage with bands such as Cursive, Starflyer 59, Eastern Youth, Me Without You, Dead Poetic, As I Lay Dying, Emery, The Lawrence Arms, The Lindsay Diaries, Watashi Wa, The Violet Burning, Sent by Ravens, The Pits, The Scooterz, Denison Marrs, The Actual, Public Radio, Austin Crane, Elkland, and Joy Electric...to name a few.
For a small bit of background info which may be of no consequence, Boot used to tour and drum for a band signed onto 5 minute Walk Records for a short time called The Smiley Kids.
