Joel Christofer- The trouble maker, the quiet kid in class.. Unless provoked to speak on certain points of interest and then not able to shut up.. Maybe he’ll recite what he thinks under his breath but the teacher is sure to catch him because he’s not very good at hiding anything.. He tries, but the look of excitement is written all over his face, and thus he is caught. But then it’s off to band class to blow his lungs out into a horn. I guess that’s his way of saying see, told you I have something to say. It’s funny how there is no trouble to get into when you express your feelings in that arena. O.K. that works. Make tons of noise using that sound as a vehicle. The sound is sweet to ears if played in tune. He can grow this way, quietly, observantly. He has got to work on not carrying the day on his face though. Dad has that same problem too. It’s all about knowing your strengths.Fine, from the marching field to the garage…It’s so fucking hot in there, but the amount that can be learned within those summers of beating his Drums will resonate in their ears forever. Literally speaking though, there are recordings of that. This brought on a new love for a different stage. One with lights of different colors and smoke in the air is how he grew his hair. This took him places that he couldn’t imagine until then. In a van from city to city while working in between.. But it is soon time to shed some weight.Well, Atlanta, Georgia is not the place for him. It’s too stuffy there and everything that he sees reminds him of loss and time moving in circles. So it’s off to somewhere else where he can write a new start.Armed with metal strings and pieces of paper everywhere he tries to piece them together and make a vision come true. To make something out of all that he knows to do, to silently make noise so that others will listen. Now, here he is! From blowing his horn, to beating his drum. In a van from town to town, armed with pieces of paper and metal strings he writes to find the place that he considers possible for all of us. Maps Home…
