I am here for Friends

About Me

The thing about me is...I was born into this world with red hair and freckles. I'm sure my mum and dad must have thought, if only for a split second, 'Shit, we missed out on that one', but that was of course before they realised that the 'red-hair-and-freckles-curse' has actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Red hair = trouble, and I am 100 % convinced that my life would have been quite boring without a bit of feisty fun and naughtiness on a general basis. So, I feel very privileged to have my red hair, as I'm easy to spot and as it provides for a bit of uniqueness. Or so I'd like to think anyway. Two things have mainly dominated my life so far; friends and travels. I don't know where I would have been without the amazing people who feature in my life, but I do know that I wouldn't have gotten very far. Without friends, my travels would have been average, as the two pretty much go hand in hand. Friends are priceless, I LOVE YOU ALL! :)Traveling is my lifeline, I'm not kidding. I can potentially get a bit annoying if I feel 'stuck' in one place for too long - which might be why I have been on the move since I was 18. I am therefore never annoying, as you can imagine. I have lived in the States (2years), Australia (3 years), France (3 years), Germany (2 years too long), South Africa (6 months) and England (2 years). Where to next? Weeeell, I'm actually moving to Vancouver this summer. I still feel that I 'owe' my parents to try out Norway at some point, after all, that's where I'm from. I guess we'll see?As a native Norwegian I am in fact born with skis on my feet. My mother had a very difficult birth as you can imagine, but it all turned out alright in the end. Skiing has led me to some amazing people and places all around the world, and I hope that it will continue to be a big part of my life! Tjo hooo!I am a firm believer of 'what comes around goes around' and Kama Sutra - sorry, I mean Karma! Don't shit in your own bed, ok? Life is all a big lesson, and I greet ALMOST all experiences with open arms! It's impossible to avoid disappointments and hurt, but there is a point where you understand that it was meant to happen just that way. Constant change is healthy, and I truly value respect and humbleness in people. Bitterness and anger will only give you cancer, so drop it! The best medicine is by far laughter....Out of all the people that I know of I admire Nelson Mandela the most - he is an inspiration for all!Be outrageous and naughty!:0) Maya Baya Paraplaya Piraya xxxxxx
