Shelley Moore

Shelley Moore was born and raised in England where she sang in nightclubs and appeared on television. She also toured Europe and the U.S.A.Her first recording was for the British EMI Columbia label, recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio, followed by the British Esquire jazz label, Starlite. After touring the U.S. and deciding to become a permanent resident, she was signed by Chess Productions for their Argo label and subsequently recorded the album "For The First Time". backed by such jazz greats as Ramsey Lewis, Eddie Harris, Plas Johnson and John Collins. The LP has recently been re-mastered and re-issued as a Jazz Classic by Verve Universal. Her most recent CDs are "Moore Moods" and "Travelin' Light".After marrying an American, Shelley decided to stop touring to be with her husband and children. However, she continues to delight audiences in Orange County with a diverse range of material, including her own compositions, several of which she has recorded.
