...I Am Dradie Da Don Doin Bodily Harm...

About Me

Andrades Flanders II (born July 24, in Detroit, Michigan), better known as Dradie Da Don, is one of the youngest people in the music business to incorporate metaphors and punchlines in his music.Dradie was born the oldest of two boys in the poverty-stricken and crime-ridden Detroit, Michigan. His biological father hasn't been around since he was two years old. At the age of three, Milton "Milt" Gregory became his stepfather and biggest support system. Dradie's first started listening to rappers such as Ludacris whom he also credited as one of his earliest influences along with rappers such as Lil' Wayne, Eminem, Fabolous, Styles P and Jadakiss.Dradie began rapping in school at the age of 9, and his performance there caught the ear of his fellow classmates, who inspired him to make rap his career. His freestyling abilities impressed the other rappers his age, but no one who took rap seriously. 11-year old Dradie started to record freestyles on his answering machine nearly every day. When his older cousins who were already rappers saw so much potential in the young rapper, they decided to get him in the studio and make him the youngest member of the group Good MaFiA. The group released their first and only album to date in 2006 but Dradie wasn't on any songs because they were already done recording when he came in the picture. In 2002, Dradie formed 3D along with King DaTwa, and Lil' C, and they didn't do any music besides free styling in the auditorium during one of their classes. Lil' C was later replaced by D-Boi Da Prince. In 2006, Dradie launched his solo career with the release of Throw It In The Air. This was followed by I'm Da Don in 2007. No album has been released from him yet, just plenty of songs.July 7, 2007, Dradie planned to release Don Status but failed because of a lack of producers. This album will be his first as he claims to have finally perfected his trade. It will also be Don Status that finally earns him mass notability outside the people who knows him as a talented lyricist, because at this time young rappers are stereotyped as having little to no lyrical ability or being "bubblegum rappers".Dradie is set to release two collaboration LPs. One With the Group Good MaFiA and one with the group 3D.Dradie feels like he has something to prove because his lyrical abilities are often doubted but, that only makes him work harder.Dradie doesn't consider himself a rapper, he considers himself a lyricist. A rapper just talks over a beat about nothing. A lyricist has a purpose, and uses different aspects of poetry such as metaphors, and/or similes, assonance, crescendo's etc. With his lyrical abilities, and the ability to be versatile(not just rapping slow or fast but using different word play and rhythm) and his value of music, it's no reason you shouldn't been seeing him on the big screen before the end of the year.
