Dub for Daze (Dan Lowe)

About Me

Throughout my life, even as far as I can remember, I have always had this constant awareness of the power of music. From when I wake to rise, until I lay to rest at night I think, feel and breathe music. I am by no means a great musician, however I am a Drummer first and foremost and drumming has been a part of me for over thirty years. I have a passion for Guitar, appreciate Piano and sometimes THINK that I can sing.found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments

Band Members: Dan Lowe - Drum's, Bass, Guitar, Piano, Melodica and Vocals "Psalm 23","Blues For Jerry" and "Charm City" are originals that were recorded in 2007 at Hummingbird Studio's in Columbia SC. The other selections on the myspace media player are from a couple of records that I played drums on, with the almighty Jah Works from Baltimore MD. I had the honor to be a member of Jah Works from 1995 through 1998 and had the privilege to tour and record with the most verstile reggae group in the united states. I want to thank Jah Works for all of their support! You guys are the best!!
Influences: Sly & Robbie, Dub Syndicate(Style Scott), Dennis Bovell & The Dub Band, Mad Professor, Alpha & Omega, Scientist, Lee Scratch Perry, ON-U Sound (Adrien Sherwood), Augustus Pablo, Massive Attack, Theivery Corporation, Robert Nesta Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Aswad, Black Slate, Steel Pulse, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Jah Works, John Browns Body and so many, many more!!!
Sounds Like: Solid Reggae, Drum & Bass, and Dub. *The selections on the myspace music media player were mixed by the legendary Dub master Hopeton Overton Brown (a.k.a. Scientist), and Jim Fox (Lion & Fox Studio). It was truly a blessing to work with Jim Fox and Scientist in the studio. What an amazing experience!
