-I'm a Crystal Freak! I Love Pendulums and Divining. Recently lost my favorite Quartz Crystal Pendulum, hopefully time will bring it back to me! I have a Scrying Mirror, A Crystal Healing Kit, and a Pouch of Runes I use all the time. My pendulums are the shyt! They can answer any question you throw at them correctly. Of course they don't talk, but if you ask one a yes or no answer it will most likely answer correctly. but first you have to ask the pendulum what is yes..and what is no.. it will either answer with a circling movement.. or back and forth.. most likely a circle will mean yea and back and forth means no.. there is a 98% chance of the pendulum being correct now thats sumthin.. They can decipher the sex of living things, male or female... you'd be surprised lol.. a circular movement represents a female and a back and forth movement represents a male... ..fire is masculine.. water is feminine, along with earth. In the past and present some farmers use pendulums to tell which eggs are male and which are female... its cool and scientifically proven....They can show energy stimulation...Along with a whole bunch of other things i have yet to learn.. I Love Astrology! I got a little ESP, can't help it, I'm just a little psychic. :P Speaking of that...Edgar Casey is The Shyt. Wish he was still alive! The ARE Rocks! I'm haunted by spirits. The Ouija board doesn't help. My car has a poltergeist, power goes on and off clicking and beeping.. Freaked me out the first time..but i got used to it... There's a ghost in my house. The damn toys powers are off too... weird shyt! it was krazee... i was about to leave had to dip out and do somethin... no one was in the house but me and... do you wanna play with me?? i was like no... then it was like... pick a number and i responded no... it followed again with do you wanna play with me... i then responded loudly no i have to leave and do somethin.. gigglin thinkin it was funny i was talkin to a toy.. then it freakin said Bye Bye.. i was like wtf... jumped up all freaked out and ran out of the house hahaha.. it was really weird.. I've been possessed before.. it was really weird i was laying down on my couch in my livin room... i wasn't tired but i started feeling tired for some reason.. and getting really light headed.. i felt so light headed it almost felt like i was floating in mid air... my body was a tingly and filled with butterflies..it was really weird... then i started to mumble and i was thinkin to myself wtf.. cause i couldn't stop myself.. i was definitely conscious but couldn't stop repeating myself.. um bula kita um bela kita ob lab sabe ob.. over and over and over again i couldn't stop myself.. when it finally stopped i didn't know what to think... well it haunted me forever wondering what the hell happened to me i eventually talked to a few people about it and they gave me so clues and ideas of how to figure out if i was talking jibberish or if it actually translated to something.. after a long while of research i found out that the different language, translated to "the mangled corpse beneath the walls was reaching out to contact me"... 2 years later my mom renovated the house and knocked down one of the walls, well there was a f'n shirt built into the walls.. really freaky i was flippin... haha i'm a poet... i like to write... i write about life, i write about death, i write to be happy, i write to be sad..i'm an artist i draw, i paint, i create.. all different kinds of things anything that strikes my fancy. I like saw this one thing one time i was out at the beach in the middle of the night..i was homeless and couldn't sleep... it was prolly about 4:30am and i was juss chillin with my blankey and doodlin in my notebook like i always was.. and somethin caught my eye it was like a bright star, thats what i thought it was at first.. but then it moved, it was movin fast as shyt too, up and down round and round back n forth it was krazee.. so i juss wrote down this long story in my note book and drew a few pictures and kept watchin... to make a long story short, [not gonna tell ya any of the cool ass details and what else happened to me that nite][You'll have to ask if you want to know]... but it stayed around and followed along the stream of day and night until it vanished beyond the horizon..crazy shyt... i saw the devil once.. it was really really crazy.. i was very depressed didn't know what to do and i was drivin around kempsville n shyt... i didn't know what to do but drive and i knew I'd find myself somewhere eventually and resolve all my problems, well i did.. i ended up driving past a church in the neighborhood i grew up in.. it was like 2am and and i was heading towards a church.. i saw a man in all black with a top hat, facing down with his right hand clutching the tip of his hat, he walked slowly but surely right in front of me.. he didn't even acknowledge that i was there.. with my lights shining in his face and everything, i was juss a ghost to him.. i was only about 10 or 15 feet away.. when i reached where he had passed i looked to see where the weirdo who just left the church went.. he had vanished without a trace.. i didn't know what to think so i took a left headed towards the way he went.. he was gone... but a young girl almost resembling myself, with long blonde hair, blowing in the wind & with a long black dress on was standing in the middle of the field next to the church, hand over her wide open mouth.. with a look amazement on her face... i can never forget that.. i have a photographic memory of it.. well the next day there was a huge storm and the steeple of church got struck by lightning causing it to fall and land in the same exact spot that the man in black had passed in front of me the night before.. so weird but soo true... i think it was a kind of sign... to let me know the evil has left my life or maybe even the devil.."??" Ahhhh! hahaha.. im a photographer i love taking pictures... Ive taken some really weird pictures in my life... allotta orbes and weird ghost figures.. What is a Pendulum?
-
-
-
A pendulum is a weight suspended from a pivot so it can swing freely.
When a pendulum is displaced from its resting equilibrium position, it is subject to a restoring force due to gravity that will accelerate it back toward the equilibrium position. When released, the restoring force will cause it to oscillate about the equilibrium position, swinging back and forth. The time for one complete cycle, a left swing and a right swing, is called the period. From its discovery around 1602 by Galileo Galilei the regular motion of pendulums was used for timekeeping, and was the world's most accurate timekeeping technology until the 1930s. Pendulums are used to regulate pendulum clocks, and are used in scientific instruments such as accelerometers and seismometers. Historically they were used as gravimeters to measure the acceleration of gravity in geophysical surveys, and even as a standard of length. The word 'pendulum' is new Latin, from the Latin pendulus, meaning 'hanging'.
The simple gravity pendulum is an idealized mathematical model of a pendulum. This is a weight (or bob) on the end of a massless cord suspended from a pivot, without friction. When given an initial push, it will swing back and forth at a constant amplitude. Real pendulums are subject to friction and air drag, so the amplitude of their swings declines.

A History of the Pendulum
-
The pendulum has been used for hundreds of years by profesionals and lay-people to find hidden treasures, diagnose disease, and locate missing persons, even gems beneath the earth. Predating the pendulum, dowsing or divining rods were employed to discover where water, oil, or minerals existed underground. The words divining or dowsing are often associated with the pendulum, even thought the pendulum's range of use is far more extensive
-
There is evidence that the Hebrews, Egyptians, Persians, Etruscans, Druids, Greeks, Romans, Hindus, Chinese, Peruvians, and Native Americans among other cultures used divining rods in some fashion. The first record of diving is thought to be an eight-thousand-year-old cave painting at Tassili n'Ajjer in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in the Sahara. The scene is a crowd of tribesmen intently observing a dowser searching for water.
-
Diving rods were already used in Egypt thousands of years before the Dead Sea parted and the Hebrews fled for the Promised Land. The Bible speaks about Moses using his staff for the purpose of finding water: "Thou Shalt smite the rock, and there shall come waterout of it, that the people may drink" (Exodus 17:6). "Take the rod...and speak ye unto the rock...and it shall give forth...water" (Numbers 20:8). When the Queen of Sheba came to Jerusalem in the eight century B.C. to seek the wisdom of King Solomon, she brought with her diviners who sought water and gold along the way. Before King Solomon consorted with the exotic queen, he used a diviner to confirm his union. According to Plutarch's Life of Marcus Antonius, Queen Cleopatra, reigning in Egypt fifty years before the birth of Christ, traveled with at least two dowsers who were always in search of gold.
-
From China, India, and Africa come references to using rods for finding lost objects as well as subterranean treasures. Throughout Europe there is mention of the use of rods in folklore and in the writings of monks from the twelfth to the fifteenth centuries. Yet during the Middle Ages through the Inquisition, there were incidents of imprisonment as the rods were considered "black magic." In 1528 A.D., Martin Luther denounced divining as being the work of the devil; he cited dowers for breaking the First Commandment regarding idolatry. De re Metallica, a book by Georgius Agricola (1556), described and illustrated the use of diving rods in mining metallic ores. A carving on the handle of a miner's tool used in Saxony between 1664 and 1749 shows the scene of a diviner in search of ore. By the seventeenth century, divining in the mining industry was common in England as well as throughout Europe.
-
In the seventeenth century, Kaspar Schott, a Jesuit priest and mathematician, theorized that the movement of the divining rod was due to the unconscious muscular action. in 1799, Professor Gerbo in at the University of Strasbourg brought a pendulum back from India and presented it to the Academy of Sciences in Paris, after which he wrote a book about his experiments with metals.
-
Abbé Mermet, a French priest and pioneer in the field during the early 1900s, successfully dowsed for water and minerals in Africa by first holding a pendulum over maps at his home in a French village. After solving inquiries from around the globe, including locating missing persons and helping the Vatican solve age-old archaeological problems, Mermet was honored by the French National Society for the Encouragement of Public Welfare. Concurrently, Frenchman André Bovis, a professional food taster, used the pendulum, made of crystal with a fixed metal point at the end that hung from a string of red and violet silk. Using his pendulum, he could rate the vibratory radiations of food.
-
In the early part of the last century, after World War I, there was a movement towards scientific research using the pendulum in many applications, particularly in the field of medicine. Dr. Albert Abrams published a book in the 1920s about the use of the pendulum in detecting and treating disease. In his work, he discovered how the body broadcasts high-frequency radiation from cells, indicating disease or health. He even discovered how the body itself could be used at a pendulum by using one's center of gravity as the pivot point.
-
It has been reported that during World War II, the pendulum was used by British Intelligence to determine Hitler's next attack! During the Cold War, "Verne" Cameron, an American dowser, was able to locate the position of submarines and bases in the Pacific, and could even distinguish which were American and which were Russian. During the Vietnam War, Marines used pendulums to locate underground mines, tunnels, and booby traps.
-
Even corporations have used the pendulum! Contrary to those who pigeonhole the pendulum as a new age, subjective, juju device, it is interesting to note that Bristol-Meyers, Hoffmann-LaRoche, and RCA have paid dowsers to locate resources.
-
When it comes to science, Albert Einstein and Nobel Prize winners in Physiology and Medicine, Dr. Alexis Carrel (1912) and Charles Richet (1913), were fascinated by how and why the pendulum worked in terms of the physics of motion in relation to various forms radiating energy. Additionally, one of the first properly conducted, double-blind studies with statistically valid results of their careful research concerning magnetic fields and dowsing showed dramatic evidence affirming the power of dowsing. More scientific studies have followed yielding similar results. Nevertheless, in the end, a pendulum cannot be used without a person, and it is the subconscious of the person that influences the direction in which the pendulum moves.
-
Today, the pendulum is used by medical practitioners, including doctors, medical intuitives, chiropractors, and nutritionists for making diagnoses as well as determining treatment. Depending on the movement of the pendulum as it is held over different parts of the body, a doctor can determine the location of infections. By placing the pendulum over remedies, the ones more beneficial for the patient will stimulate the pendulum to move in that direction and away from remedies that would not by useful.
-
Furthermore, the pendulum can be used to determine accurate medicinal dosages. Some practitioners teach their clients to use a pendulum so they can check, each day, which supplements and medications their ever-changing bodies need.
-
Diving has been used to located lost articles or people, the source of physical or mental ailments, ley lines and their direction of flow and effect on human health, power centers and places where the Earth's field alters human consciousness, as well as radiations and energy fields. In addition, it has been used to analyze chakras and auras. The pendulum is becoming ever more popular as a tool for discerning how to respond to the most intimate dilemmas and worldly issues.-

What Are Nordic Runes?
-
The alphabet depicted above is generally called Futhark. It was named after it's first six letters (FEHU, URUZ, THURISAZ, ANSUZ, RAIDHO and KENAZ), and is usually found in the order shown above. These are the runes as I have learned them. There are many variations on runes ( both in character and name ) as you will discover if you search for, and study other materials on the topic ( and I hope you will ). This booklet was designed to serve you as an introduction to the topic of rune divination. It must be stressed though, that divination is just one of the many branches on the tree of rune lore.
-
There are many legends and applications involving runes. Along with being a valuable divinational tool, runes are also considered a magickal alphabet and a tool for visualization. They are employed in making talismans and each rune is associated with a distinct god. Even within rune divination there are branches of knowledge. In learning rune divination you will find a mundane meaning and a spiritual meaning for each rune. This booklet will be focusing on the mundane meanings of the runes, that is to say, the meanings as they apply to everyday life. For more information on rune lore and rune divination, please consult the list included at the end of this booklet.
-
As with all divinational tools, you will get the most out of your runes if you first get yourself in tune with them and keep up that connection. A suggested way to do this, is to roll them in your hands like "worry stones" ( while watching t.v., hanging out, etc. ) and keep them on your person as often as possible. This will allow them to pick up your energies while your mind is occupied by other things. Having your runes surrounded by your own energies forms a useful bond between you and them. For this reason, many people avoid letting others handle their runes. Of course, practicing runecasts and readings is the most direct way to get in tune with your runes.
-
It is important to learn the meaning of each rune. I suggest that you hold each rune while reading and learning it's individual meaning. This will teach both you and the rune what it represents. The more you can understand and interpret the runes, the more you will get out of your runecasts. This does not, however, mean you have to memorize everything you ever read about a rune. Read what's out there as guidelines and incorporate new information into your readings, but don't be afraid to let your own intuitions and experiences guide your interpretations. Essentially, experience with your runes will be more valuable than any book. (Though there are some fine books out there.)
-
How to Read the Runes-
There are as many different ways to read the runes as there are ways to cast and read any divinatory system. Any of the books you can get on the market will provide you with several different ways to read runes, including complicated, multirune castings. But here we'll start with three easy castings that will allow you to begin working the stones immediately and getting used to their energies and how they operate.
-
First, a word about casting methods. It's not necessary to come up with a huge elaborate ritual that includes casting a circle, calling quarters, invoking deity, etc., every time you want to do a reading. But you should develop a routine for starting and conducting a reading and stick to it. My routine goes something like this:
-
I spread out my rune cloth, then pour the stones onto the cloth, right side up. I put them in their alphabetical order, the blank rune standing separate from the rest, and then I say, "Holy Goddess, mother of earth, mother of us all, guide my hand as I cast the runes, guide my mind as I interpret their meanings, guide my soul as I take them into my life." Then I turn them all over and stir them around clockwise, using my right hand to stir as I concentrate on the question I am posing. I select the runes and interpret.
-
You can incorporate candles or incense, or have your own special way of doing things. You can even do the whole elaborate setup if that's what plucks your duck. It's all about what works for you. It doesn't matter WHAT you do as long as you do it each time you read the runes; the routine will set your mind up for divination, and that's the goal here.
-
Wording your questions is also important when reading runes. Unless you are doing a yes or no reading (see below), asking the runes a question that can be answered by a yes or no isn't going to work. It's best to word your question in a general way. For example, if you are asking relationship questions, you wouldn't want to ask the runes, "Is Jimmy cheating on me?" A better question would be, "What do I need to know about my relationship with Jimmy?"
-
Now, on to the castings.
-
Cast #1-One-Rune Draw
-
Pose your question and draw one rune. This one is great for a daily casting, to use the runes as a guide for your day. For example, before going to work, you ask the runes, "What do I need to know to make this day successful for me?" You draw Ansuz, right side up. I would read this as meaning communication is very important for you on this day; be sure to explain yourself clearly, to speak up when necessary and to listen to what others need to say to you.
-
Cast #2-Three-Rune Draw
-
Pose your question and draw three runes. The first rune is Overview; it gives you a general understanding of your question. The second rune is Course of Action; this rune tells you what your options are and what you might want to do. The third rune is Outcome; self-explanatory.
-
Cast #3-The Yes or No Draw
-
This cast allows you to pose questions that can be answered with a yes or no, and I credit this to Tony Willis and his book " Discover Runes."
-
Pose your question and draw three runes. Take note of how many runes are upright or reversed. If the runes you draw are nonreversible, then you need to know if their meanings are generally negative or generally positive.
When all three runes are positive, the answer is definitely yes. When all three runes are negative, the answer is definitely no, but the meanings of the runes will usually tell you why and what you might be able to do to up your chances of success.
-
When two runes are positive and one is negative, the answer is yes, but some aspect of the situation will not meet your expectations. Again, the meanings of the runes may clue you in to what aspect this is. When two runes are negative and one is positive, the answer is no, but it may not be too bad in the end.
-
Two negative runes with a nonreversible rune should be treated like three negatives.
-
For those of you who use the Blank Rune, this next part is important. If the Blank Rune appears in your yes or no draw, it means one of two things: either the question is not ready or able to be judged, or you are better off not knowing the answer. After waiting a day, you can ask the question again. If the Blank Rune appears again, you can try asking the runes a third time. However, if the Blank Rune appears a third time, then you really should give up asking the question because you are simply not meant to have an answer.

Who Was Edgar Cayce?
-
Twentieth Century Psychic and Medical Clairvoyant
-
Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) has been called the "sleeping prophet," the "father of holistic medicine," and the most documented psychic of the 20th century. For more than 40 years of his adult life, Cayce gave psychic "readings" to thousands of seekers while in an unconscious state, diagnosing illnesses and revealing lives lived in the past and prophecies yet to come. But who, exactly, was Edgar Cayce?
-
Cayce was born on a farm in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1877, and his psychic abilities began to appear as early as his childhood. He was able to see and talk to his late grandfather's spirit, and often played with "imaginary friends" whom he said were spirits on the other side. He also displayed an uncanny ability to memorize the pages of a book simply by sleeping on it. These gifts labeled the young Cayce as strange, but all Cayce really wanted was to help others, especially children.
-
Later in life, Cayce would find that he had the ability to put himself into a sleep — like state by lying down on a couch, closing his eyes, and folding his hands over his stomach. In this state of relaxation and meditation, he was able to place his mind in contact with all time and space — the universal consciousness, also known as the super-conscious mind. From there, he could respond to questions as broad as, "What are the secrets of the universe?" and "What is my purpose in life?" to as specific as, "What can I do to help my arthritis?" and "How were the pyramids of Egypt built? His responses to these questions came to be called "readings," and their insights offer practical help and advice to individuals even today.
-
Although Cayce died more than 60 years ago, the timeliness of the material in the readings — with subjects like how to discovering your mission in life, developing your intuition, exploring ancient mysteries, and taking responsibility for your health — is evidenced by the hundreds of books that have been written on the various aspects of this work as well as the dozen or so titles focusing on Cayce's life itself. Together, these books contain information so valuable that even Edgar Cayce himself might have hesitated to predict their impact on the contemporary world. In 1945, the year of his passing, who could have known that terms such as "meditation," "Akashic records," "spiritual growth," "auras," "soul mates," and "holistic health" would become household words to millions?
-The majority of Edgar Cayce's readings deal with holistic health and the treatment of illness. As it was at the time Cayce was giving readings, still today, individuals from all walks of life and belief receive physical relief from illnesses or ailments through information given in the readings — some readings were given as far back as 100 years ago! Yet, although best known for this material, the sleeping Cayce did not seem to be limited to concerns about the physical body. In fact, in their entirety, the readings discuss an astonishing 10,000 different topics. This vast array of subject matter can be narrowed down into a smaller group of topics that, when compiled together, deal with the following five categories: (1) Health-Related Information; (2) Philosophy and Reincarnation; (3) Dreams and Dream Interpretation; (4) ESP and Psychic Phenomena; and (5) Spiritual Growth, Meditation, and Prayer.

Ronald Ernest Paul (born August 20, 1935) is an American physician and Republican Congressman for the State of Texas, who gained widespread attention during his unsuccessful bid for the 2008 Republican Party presidential nomination. During the campaign he attracted an enthusiastic following which made use of the Internet and social networking to establish a grassroots campaign despite lack of traditional organization or media attention. He criticized the Republican Party as having abandoned its principles of limited constitutional government. He supports low taxes, free markets, and the restoration of the gold standard. He is also strongly opposed to the American involvement in the War in Iraq. He has called for abolition of many federal institutions including the FBI and DEA, repeal of the federal income tax, abolition of all social security and is opposed to nationalized health care. Paul advocates ending the war on drugs and supports decriminalization of marijuana at the federal level. Despite strong support in some races, he failed to win any state-wide contests. His campaign was coined the "Ron Paul Revolution". He is the founder of the advocacy group Campaign for Liberty.
