At the younger age of 16, in the early of 90's, Ferry B. discovered electronic music and got a Sequencer- rhythm and his first vinyls. From a musical background as a sax player and a musical producer, his musical influences are many and varied; from Miles Davis, Weather Report, Stevie Wonder to Kraftwerk, New Order, Depeche Mode, Masters at work, going on to James Brown, Paquito D'Ribera, Fela Kuti, Jackson Five,...an explosive mixture of soul-jazz-afro- latin- funk and electronic music! This explains his stylistic variety at the moment of production. - Ferry B. mixes his influences without prejudices to create a work of aesthetic elegance with character, personality and richness of nuance. Quality, energy for the dance floor, with full of Soul. With more than 15 productions edited and distributed for a different label around the world, with a big support of various internationals DJs give credit to his work. His first commercial release "Mimosifolia", was published in 2002 for HouseWorks. On 2003 he edited his second record “Finding Paradise†for the US label SFP records, which was licensed for different compilations around the world. On the 2004 he moves to the eclectic musical city of Miami, Florida, where he was living and working for respected US labels (Deep Touch Records, SFP Recods, Filtered Recods). Also he was DJing for the most glamorous Miami Beach nights, such as the hyper-chic Delano Hotel's "Miami Private" parties. Was on the summer of 2004 where he produce "Afrocatalans" (Bubble Soul Music / Defected , UK), one of his most acclaimed works, including remixes from the well- known producers HardSoul and Ian Carey. The track was sung for the Brazilian artist Carlinhos Brown. "Afrocatalans" was received the support of the all great deejays...the world-wide repercussion was huge! Right now, Ferry B. is living between Ibiza as a resident from “El Divino†with hes partner Franco de Mulero and Barcelona, where mixture his DJ sets on the best clubs around Europe and Suth America and his studio projects, remixes with a lot of DJs, producers and artists from around the world.
