ABOUT THE NAME:
One Sunday morning, the POSHGLAM name and tag line were established with careful deliberation. Creator and CEO, Kimberly Stone began tobrainstorm a name for the new company she planned to establish. "What is representative of me," she pondered. Upon deciding that shewanted a name that did away with the typical stereotypes that labeled those concerned with fashion as air-heads and simple, Stone wascertain that "POSH" was a term representative of someone who was both smart and fashionable.
But something was still amidst. The name just wasn't quite right. "POSH" alone was too reminiscent of greed, and had an air ofself-imposed snobbery. She wanted the company to represent all things glamorous but without haughtiness or facades. She consideredsimply going with the name GLAM but in an "eureka" moment, POSHGLAM emerged and stuck.
Neither was complete without it's counterpart so the two met and the tag became Oh So POSHGLAM, Smart. Fashionable. Glamorous.
Like all new ventures, the new marketing enterprise, POSHGLAM started as merely a vision in 2000. Founded in 2004,on the belief that "there are far too many underrepresented, yet talented, fashion designers," POSHGLAM caters to those who specialize in fashion and has sinceevolved into a variety of services for emerging artists. Prior to their emergence, the World Wide Web lacked a media outlet that woulddirectly support designers and their creations. Enter Kimberly Stone, creator and CEO of POSHGLAM. She has set out to create a channelthrough which designers will gain the exposure they need and so rightfully deserve. Through POSHGLAM, Stone and her partners utilizetactful marketing skills, innovative ideas, and fashion-related knowledge, to help launch the lines of emerging designers.
