TOM WARE has been in the music business for over 30 years and has travelled all over the world, playing the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, piano, B-3 Hammond organ and writing songs.He has shared the stage with Willie Nelson,Merle Haggard,Delbert Mclinton,Three Dog Night,Foghat,Montgomery /Gentry,Tammy Wynette,Shooter Jennings,Tanya Tucker,Billy Ray Cyrus,Ray Price,Nitty Gritty Dirt Band,Los Lonely Boys,Monte Montgomery,Bluehouse,Luke Stricklin Band and mixed sound for many many legendary artists over the years
people like B.B. King,Bruce Cockburn and Richie Havens, A onetime member of legendary touring alternative- country group RAZORBACK/GRAYGHOST,on MERCURY Records(six top 100 singles in 4 years) in the late eighties,he has since continued to write and perform exciting new material and expand his multi-instrumental prowess.His wildly diverse musical style includes equal parts Tom Waits, Merle Travis,Eric Johnson. Stephane Grappelli,Bruce Cockburn,Bruce Hornsby,Hank Williams,Doc Watson,Leo Kotke,Frank Zappa and John Prine.He was once called a "cross between Johnny Cash and Pantera". He has released one independent CD in 2002 entitled "Arkansas Blue" and has just released a new solo accoustic CD, "TIMEWARP" on PETRIFRIED RECORDS. He is also featured on two contemporary gospel CD's by his longtime friend and partner,vocalist extrordinaire LACEY THOMAS.One of original tunes with piano/voice only called "Everday Miracles" and "Hillbilly Hymnal" which is a folk/bluegrass interpretation of old gospel music with Tom playing guitar,bass,mandolin,fiddle and dobro.He recently did a short summer tour with the Australian female duo "BLUEHOUSE",an internationally known folk act,and will tour with them again this fall in the U.S. and Canada.He has also been touring with Top 50 country soldier LUKE STRICKLIN off and on for the last year playing piano and fiddle.He plays in the Fort Smith, AR based "DROWNING IN DIXIE" which includes Lacey Thomas, Anthony Ware, Adam Robertson and Jenks Smith. They are currently working on a new CD as well and booking shows as a duo(with Lacey Thomas) and full band.He is also a longtime member of local classic rock stalwarts "THE UNDERDOGS" which includes Tim Wilson,Danny"Rock" Walls and Jenks Smith.Another project that is seasonal, the Celtic Group "THE BLUE FIDDLE" which consists of Tom Ware,fiddle.....John Lindquist,accordian and banjo....and songwriter Joe Hamilton on guitar and vocals.
