About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful daughters. We are currently undergoing our 4th deployment to the Persian Gulf while married. Originally, I was born and raised in San Diego where I worked as a Government Contractor for 10 years. That life was interrupted when I met and married my husband, so we now move where ever and when ever the government decides to send us. This usually occurs just before they get word that the dust is settling on our household goods or I finally get that last box unpacked. Back to back orders in the same place? Does that really happen?I like being outdoors- Enjoy all aspects- the water, snow, desert, mountains, and just being active and in nature.I still drive like a Californian, though I had to trade in my sports car. Let me tell you, its hard to channel my inner Steve McQueen inside a clown car full of kid related dangling objects. I have a very competitive side but usually it's just with myself (sure it is). I have a deep rooted appreciation for animals as they have always been a part of my life.I enjoy roadtrips to new destinations and visiting historical and archaelogical sites. I want to see all of the world I can see in the short time we are given! I am pretty easy going though like everyone else have my "moments". Then the irish/german mix comes out! I am a giver almost to a fault, and grumble when my house and my life are not in order. Having two kids under the age of four and a husband constantly gone have definitely put my organization skills to the test (and sadly I feel I am failing miserably)My love for my family knows no end, utter adoration and constant awe of our daughters and their accomplishments, respect and pride for my husband, our country, and all of those who serve. I will ALWAYS thank a Veteran for their service and their sacrifice.I aspire to be respected by my kids (even when they are in their teens), to make it to Egypt to see all of the ancient wonders of the Pharoahs, to frolic in Germany and Ireland in the lands of my ancestry, to Paris to fall in love again, and Greece to climb to the Acropolis . Then perhaps, once I have lived a full enough life I will allow my husband to teach me how to fly (because if its like when we canoe together one of us won't make it out alive). My husband on Deployment with Ava's kitty Kitty and his Co-Pilot Yes, I love him Daddy with his latest Angel Husband in Flight If the broom fits Go Navy, Beat Army Mom and Hayley in Savannah

HS-8 Deployment Video

I'd like to meet:

I enjoy learning new things, going to new places, and meeting interesting people. Not looking for love or romance, already get all the hugs and kisses I could ever ask for. I am just looking to keep in touch with friends who are using this as a means to stay connected, and maybe pick up a new friend or two along the way.

Music:

To say my collection is ecclectic would be an understatement! My MP3 has a variety for what ever mood I am in! I tend to be more dark rock though. Comes with the fascination of mystical monsters and myths that has fascinated me since early in my youth.

Movies:

Really used to like the scary ones (unless they have dolls- hate the dolls). But if there is movie theatre popcorn with extra butter I will watch just about anything! Now I try to favor action or comedies, helps me sleep better at night not thinking about flesh eating zombies coming to get my kids....we all know the government has it's secrets and who's to say some aren't biding their time in a rusty canister...or flying in a SH60 somewhere near Iman....hmmm...

Television:

World News and sadly some Reality....all about mindless escapism late at night. Like CSI, True Blood, Laugh over Rock of Love and Survivor, can really get into Forensic Files and Ghost Busters!

Books:

Of course all 13 of my moms books need to be listed here. She is my inspiration that one day I too will do something creative with my life other than pro-create.Addicted to Twilight. I admit it. Some adults have their Harry Potter so I'm ok with wanting Edward Cullen in my dreams.

Heroes:

People who wake up every morning and make it a point to be kind to others. My two little girls, who are the reason mommy has a smile on her face and a straight jacket in her closet. Other military families keeping it together through long bouts of seperation. Veterans who don't get all of the praise they deserve- and my Parents for their remarkable marriage and enduring love.
