This page serves as a memorial to Mr. Harrison W. Bentley, Jr., known to the internet set as “The Infamous Dr. Whoâ€. Harrison Wesley Bentley Jr. was born on January 22, 1977 and retired to his place with the Father on September 5, 2006. In the time that ran between these two dates he was a member of the Beta Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., and various other organizations. He completed a degree in Psychology at Clark-Atlanta University and went on to begin studies for a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Harrison was a Son, a Father, a Nephew, Cousin, Brother, Companion and Friend. In each of these roles he served as a man of integrity, honesty, love and compassion. He left an indelible mark on the lives of all who crossed his path and we are all the better for it. Weep not for Harrison ’s death, but instead pay tribute to his life by what you do with yours. What we witness now is not the extinguishing of a flame, but the passing of a torch. Carry that torch well and earn a seat at the table that God, our Father has prepared for him in heaven.
Harrison firmly believed "One man may not be able to change the world, but one stone can effect the whole lake"
Be that stone and create a great ripple!
The poem posted on this page was written by Jelani Wilson, a college friend and lifetime brother to Harrison. It was read at his homegoing ceremony
on September 9, 2006.
