Hi. Thank you very very very, very much, for perusing our profile. It's hard to represent ourselves fully with one or two songs being that our tastes are many and our sound changes as often and abruptly as the weather here in Indianapolis (sorry).
The Hypnotic Velvet Propellers started way back in the 1900's. 1999 actually, featuring Emerald Eric Grimmitt playing guitars and the legendary Mercury Mark Cutsinger drumming.
We released an album in early 2001 on our own and quickly ran out selling them at shows.
Eventually we became three piece consisting of co-founder Jason Bambery playing guitar and still doing the bulk of the singing, Chad Pollock handling the low frequencies with flare on his beloved black Rickenbacker, and Glenn Hopkins percussing fantastic.
In April, 2004 we tracked the second HVP album and planned to finally get it mastered and printed up for mass consumption soon (that was 2004?), but probably won't.
The band finally fizzled out, pretty much around late '04-early '05.
2007 has now seen the original 4-piece line-up, featuring Bambery, Grimmitt, Pollock and Cutsinger, reunite for the Sean Wilhoite memorial show and we're now considering more future performances.
