Music with rich sounds and varied influences...
Noise Addicted Ensemble was created in April 2007 during a one-week intensive work session of the group « Néant Empirique » at the Theatre des Charmes in Eu (76). The guys hit it off immediately with the same and only urge: spontanous composition!
In early 2008, in Rouen, the group organized two week-ends of creation and was supported by « L'oreille qui traîne », the left-bank youth club.
Guests followed one another: Philippe Marcel Iung, Yves Labbé, Prön Flâvürdik, Impro5. The rule was simple: play behind closed doors for a whole day, then play in public at night and record, shoot and photograph the show. Every night, for one hour, during this week, Noise Addicted Ensemble offered the audience the opportunity to discover musicians spontanously composing their sound universe. Many people were curious and shared the project.
Right afterwards, the group met again for a performance at the Bateau Ivre in Rouen. After three rock groups, they proposed a set of experimental atmospheres and then successfully passed the test. Being supported by the « Post Ghost Recordings » association, a carte blanche night was devoted to Noise Addicted Ensemble on April 18th, 2008, once again at the Bateau Ivre.
After these events, Noise Addicted Ensemble could be found on the front pages again and was programmed on July 31st, 2008 at the « Thursday's terrasses » festival in Rouen. For this occasion, the quartet became a quintet and invited Philippe Marcel Iung, the North Norman musician, for his contribution on guitars, voices and sound objects.
Two albums and new joined projects are being worked on for the 2008/2009 season...
