About Me

Holla visitor of my awkward piece of profile!
My name is Julien, I'm born in Eindhoven, the netherlands on 21 january 1989, at the age of 16 I started to produce, that was in early 2005. I'm educated in two languages from my birth, french (like my name) and dutch (because I've grown up here)
I'm a student of the School of Music and Technology in Hilversum, The Netherlands. I'm studying for the subject Composition and Music Production, this allows me to use the current wave of technology in these days and to listen to music from another point of view. Not excluded on the traditional way, but the most width way you can imagine. I get a lot of colleges about synthese, algorhytmns (programming environments like Max MSP), Classical compositions, Adaptive Systems, to name a few.
I don't have a genre in my music, because I like the diversity...changes are good. It allows you to open your mind for something new.
I get inspiration of the sea, as I live in a town on the dunes, water is always been something inspirational for me...it moves and changes all the time, it never stands still but everybody knows it's water. Water is the most rare in the universum and normal phenomon on earth.
All the pictures here on this page, the song pictures, the background picture and my main photo is made by one of my best friends, Rein Kooyman, a very talented and young photographer. Please ask his permission to use his photo's, thanks!
If you wish to book me, please contact me on my e-mailadres which is julienmier(at)live(dot)nl. I normally play real instruments together with an own set of own music. I prefer playing in the Netherlands at the moment but I'm open for special events.
I released so far on several netlabels: BumpFoot, INQB8R, Lomechanik, FOEM, Enntess, Public Spaces
As well on a couple of digital labels: Treibstoff, Footloversmusic, 1744 Recordings, Rumpfunk, Samplefreunde.
This video is made by a very good friend of mine, Gabi Berkers, I made the soundtrack of it. The song is called "My Bag Is Here To Carry You" and the movie itself "Rain." Have fun!
And a taster to my new EP, out on 3 october on Lomechanik, BumpFoot and INQB8R
