About Me

My name is Michael Walstrom, no despite my profile picture, I am not the professional wrestler known as Mankind. Our similarities end with our first names. I live in central Iowa, where I work on a sprawling potato farm (Not really). I work for a Home Mortgage company in Des Moines. I have a wife and two kids. What little free time I have is spent trying to recapture my childhood. While most men my age are preoccupied with drinking beer and playing golf, I'm searching eBay for old issues of Creepy Magazine and large lots of action figures. I have a collection that woould put any 12 year old to shame, yes there's nothig like spending your kids college fund on a mint on card Snake Eyes figure from 1982. Maybe in the future I will offer my views on stuff, or maybe I'll just forget about this and hit eBay again, we'll see.

My Interests

Comic books and graphic novels, action figures, '80's and '90's professional wrestling, warping, er, shaping the mind of my children.

I'd like to meet:

People who know the meaning of some of the following things: 42, 37, BAMF!, SPOON!, No Answer, O-ring vs. T Crotch, "Buck Melanoma, Moley Russell's Wart", The original 13, Floppy, "Cape does not enable user to fly", "Gotta have more cowbell!"There's more that's all I can think of right now.

Music:

Music from the '60's to '80's, particularly bands from England such as The Electric Light Orchestra, the Beatles, Queen, the Moody Blues, and the Kinks.

Movies:

Sci-fi and Zombie movies, comedies that are actually funny, and any movie that has a good story to tell without being pretentious.

Television:

The Shield, Arrested Development, Rescue me, Family Guy, Robot Chicken.

Books:

The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, any autobiographical book by Mick Foley.

Heroes:

Roddy Piper, Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Jeff Lynne, Mick Foley.
