RANDOM QUOTE:
"Patience is exercised by those mortals whose time units are short; true maturity transcends patience by a forbearance born of real understanding."
I like to think of myself as an unpretentious person; a pilgrim in quest of truth, the never-ending adventure of understanding reality--both inner and outer.
A guideline for myself is: "Only a brave person is willing honestly to admit, and fearlessly to face, what a sincere and logical mind discovers, then to follow valiantly through the perplexing and confusing maze of where it may lead." An ideal for me is: "challenge yourself to do your best and challenge the best in you to do its utmost." When man thus lives at his best, he lives most unselfishly for the good of others.
Welp, enjoy the page, which I have created for the promulgation of the Urantia Book.

Never encountered anything like it.
My very devoted and lovely wife, Jennifer. You are courageous, kind-hearted, and honest. I love you.
My very adorable niece and nephew, Giselle and Kidd. Cute. I love them.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And yet not one of them exists apart from the knowledge of the Father, the source of all life. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than a great many sparrows."
"As you view the world, remember that the black patches of evil which you see are shown against a white background of ultimate good. You do not view merely white patches of good which show up miserably against a black background of evil."
"The Father desires all his creatures to be in personal communion with him. For as a father, a real father, a true father, loves his children, so the Universal Father loves and forever seeks the welfare of his created sons and daughters."
"Man does not achieve union with God as a drop of water might find unity with the ocean. Man attains divine union by progressive reciprocal spiritual communion, by personality intercourse with the personal God, by increasingly attaining the divine nature through wholehearted and intelligent conformity to the divine will. Such a sublime relationship can exist only between personalities."
"The Father loves each of his sons, from the highest creator personality of Paradise status to the lowest personality of will dignity among the savage tribes of men in the dawn of the human species on some evolutionary world of time and space. And that affection is not less than true, holy, divine, unlimited, eternal, and unique--a love bestowed upon THIS son and upon THAT son, individually, personally, and exclusively. And such a love utterly eclipses all other facts. Sonship is the supreme relationship of the creature to the Creator."
"God is changeless, but he is not a helpless slave to his own perfection and infinity. God is not a self-acting automatic force; he is not a slavish law-bound power. God is neither a mathematical equation nor a chemical formula. He is a freewill and primal personality. He is the Universal Father, a being surcharged with personality and the universal FOUNT of all creature personality."
"Mind is your ship, the God-fragment is your pilot, the human will is captain. The master of the mortal vessel should have the wisdom to trust the divine pilot to guide the ascending soul into the harbors of eternal survival. Only by selfishness, slothfulness, and sinfulness can the will of man reject the guidance of such a loving pilot and eventually wreck the mortal career upon the evil shoals of rejected mercy and upon the rocks of embraced sin. With your consent, this faithful pilot will safely carry you across the barriers of time and the handicaps of space to the very source of the divine mind and on beyond, even to the Paradise Father."
"Look to the sky, the clouds are beginning to turn colors with the first light of morning. From the trees and shrubs, new growth begins to shoot out. The dawn is here. The sun begins as it rises over the crest of the earth. The darkness lightens. Soon it will be morning."
"Even when the wind blows by, I feel warm inside ... You're so lovely."
"He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness."
Below are selected passages that depict the reality of God. They may be enlightening to the God-seeker. I will add blogs and updates as I get the chance.
The Universal Father
"The people of Urantia [earth] continue to suffer from the influence of primitive concepts of God. The gods who go on a rampage in the storm; who shake the earth in their wrath and inflict their judgments of displeasure in times of famine and flood--these are the gods of primitive religion; not the God who rules the universes."
"God is your Father, not a great and supreme bookkeeper who is chiefly engaged in making damaging entries against his erring children on earth."
"The eternal God is infinitely more than reality idealized or the universe personalized. God is not simply the supreme desire of man, the mortal quest objectified. Neither is God merely a concept, the power-potential of righteousness. The Universal Father is not a synonym for nature, neither is he natural law personified. God is a transcendent reality, not merely man's traditional concept of supreme values. God is not a psychological focalization of spiritual meanings, neither is he "the noblest work of man." God may be any or all of these concepts in the minds of men, but he is more. He is a saving person and a loving Father to all who enjoy spiritual peace on earth, and who crave to experience personality survival in death."
"To every spirit being and to every mortal creature in every sphere and on every world of the universe of universes, the Universal Father reveals all of his gracious and divine self that can be discerned or comprehended by such spirit beings and by such mortal creatures."
"Our Father is not in hiding; he is not in arbitrary seclusion. Between you and God there is a tremendous distance (physical space) to be traversed. There likewise exists a great gulf of spiritual differential which must be bridged; but notwithstanding all that physically and spiritually separates you from the personal presence of God, stop and ponder the solemn fact that God lives within you; he has in his own way already bridged the gulf."
"The Father is not in spiritual hiding, but so many of his creatures have hidden themselves away in the mists of their own willful decisions and for the time being have separated themselves from the communion of his spirit by the choosing of their own perverse ways and by the indulgence of the self-assertiveness of their intolerant minds and unspiritual natures."
"The Father desires all his creatures to be in personal communion with him. There is in the mind of God a plan which embraces every creature of all his vast domains, and this plan is an eternal purpose of boundless opportunity, unlimited progress, and endless life. And the infinite treasures of such a matchless career are yours for the striving."
"Even though material mortals cannot see the person of God, they should rejoice that he is a person, and that he delights in his children. Because of his spirit inside you, it is no more of a mystery for you to know the mind of God than for you to be sure of the consciousness of knowing any other mind."
"God is lacking in none of those superhuman and divine attributes which constitute a perfect, eternal, loving, and infinite Creator personality. For as a father, a real father, a true father, loves his children, so the Universal Father loves and forever seeks the welfare of his created sons and daughters."
"The existence of God can never be proved by scientific experiment or by the pure reason of logical deduction. God can be realized only in the realms of human experience; nevertheless, the true concept of the reality of God is reasonable to logic, plausible to philosophy, essential to religion, and indispensable to any hope of personality survival."
"God is not the mere invention of man's idealism; he is the very source of all such superanimal insights and values. God is not a hypothesis formulated to unify the human concepts of truth, beauty, and goodness; he is the personality of love from whom all of these universe manifestations are derived."
"In science, God is the First Cause, [the Big Bang]; in philosophy, Universal Unity; in religion, the universal and loving Father. But it requires revelation to show that the First Cause of science and the self-existent Unity of philosophy are the God of religion, full of mercy and goodness and pledged to effect the eternal survival of his children on earth."
"Those who know the Universal Father have experienced the fact of his presence; such God-knowing mortals hold in their personal experience the only positive proof of the existence of the living God which one human being can offer to another. The existence of God is utterly beyond all possibility of demonstration except for the contact between the God-consciousness of the human mind and the God-presence that indwells the mortal intellect."
"God is so all real and absolute that no material sign of proof or no demonstration of so-called miracle may be offered in testimony of his reality. Always will we know him because we trust him."
"The God-knowing individual is not one who is blind to the difficulties or unmindful of the obstacles which stand in the way of finding God in the maze of superstition, tradition, and materialistic tendencies of modern times. He has encountered all these deterrents and triumphed over them, surmounted them by living faith, and attained the highlands of spiritual experience in spite of them."
"Of God, the most inescapable of all presences, the most real of all facts, the most living of all truths, the most loving of all friends, and the most divine of all values, we have the right to be the most certain of all universe experiences."
"The acceptance of a teaching as true is not faith; that is mere belief. Belief has attained the level of faith when it motivates life and shapes the mode of living. Faith leads to knowing God ..."
"Be not discouraged; human evolution is still in progress; the revelation of the truth about God is appearing, and the human race is destined to know the Universal Father in all that beauty of character and loveliness of attributes so magnificently portrayed by the Creator Son who sojourned on Urantia [earth] as Jesus of Nazareth."

My Interests

"In the midst of this century's growing turmoil of ideas, opinions, rigidifying fundamentalisms, wild speculations, actual breakthroughs, catastrophic wars, technology addiction, information explosion, raping of natural resources, ridicule of traditions, and general collapse of order, The Urantia Papers appeared ..." -- Stan Hartman
From time to time in the long planetary struggle, divine help has been given to aid the slow natural evolution of our world. Today, as we pass through the valley of materialism and secularism, a NEW REVELATION of epochal significance has been born:
THE URANTIA BOOK
To me, the one most important piece of literature. It gives new and startling declarations about the origin, nature, and destiny of mankind. It's inspiring message continues to help shape my thinking and philosophy. It is intellectually satisfying and spiritually fulfilling. It is unparalleled. "To the unbelieving materialist, man is simply an evolutionary accident. His hopes of survival are strung on a figment of mortal imagination; his fears, loves, longings, and beliefs are but the reaction of the incidental juxtaposition of certain lifeless atoms of matter. No display of energy nor expression of trust can carry him beyond the grave. The devotional labors and inspirational genius of the best of men are doomed to be extinguished by death, the long and lonely night of eternal oblivion and soul extinction. Nameless despair is man's only reward for living and toiling under the temporal sun of mortal existence. Each day of life slowly and surely tightens the grasp of a pitiless doom which a hostile and relentless universe of matter has decreed shall be the crowning insult to everything in human desire which is beautiful, noble, lofty, and good.""But such is not man's end and eternal destiny; such a vision is but the cry of despair uttered by some wandering soul who has become lost in spiritual darkness, and who bravely struggles on in the face of the mechanistic sophistries of a material philosophy, blinded by the confusion and distortion of a complex learning. And all this doom of darkness and all this destiny of despair are forever dispelled by one brave stretch of faith on the part of the most humble and unlearned of God's children on earth."

"In the beginning, GOD CREATED EVOLUTION."

"This world is only a bridge; you may pass over it, but you should not think to build a dwelling place upon it."

"The experience of God remains the same from generation to generation. Genuine spiritual experiences are always characterized by an inexplicable poise and a sustaining tranquillity--a peace which transcends all understanding."

"God is the Cause; the universe, the effect. In the master universe, there are as many stars as there are glasses of water in your oceans. But the universe is still expanding. God is revealed throughout the cosmos, but the cosmos can never contain or encompass the entirety of the infinity of God. Only in infinity can the Infinite be fully disclosed."

"Even in the face of apparent defeat or in the throes of disappointment and threatening despair, he calmly stood in the divine presence free from fear and fully conscious of spiritual invincibility."
"The secret of his unparalleled religious life was his consciousness of the presence of God, and he attained it by intelligent prayer and sincere worship--unbroken communion with God."
"Even though the personality of the Universal Father can be grasped only in actual religious experience, in Jesus' earth life we are inspired by the perfect demonstration of such a realization and revelation of the personality of God in a truly human experience."

"Throughout the ages of light and life the chief persuit of ever-advancing mortals is the quest for a better understanding and fuller realization of the comprehensible elements of Deity--truth, beauty, and goodness. This represents man's effort to discern God in mind, matter, and spirit. And as the mortal persues this quest, he finds himself increasingly absorbed in the experiential study of philosophy, cosmology, and divinity."

"The Indwelling Spirit arouses in man's soul a true and searching hunger for perfection together with a far-reaching curiosity which can be adequately satisfied only by communion with God, the divine source of that Spirit. The hungry soul of man refuses to be satisfied with anything less than the personal realization of the living God."

"No thing or being can ever alter the fact and the truth that each mortal and supermortal person, each world, each universe, each superuniverse, even ALL OF REALITY, is forever in the best of hands--his perfect, loving hands."

"I am convinced that nothing in heaven or on earth can separate me from the love of God."

"I will go and tell the world of your beauty and sweetness, and of your sovereignty."
