About Me
Uber-professional by day, gypsy singer floating from project to project by night... (er, and weekends...). Initiates different music projects with network of talent. Also supports many musicians and bands with studio efforts, stand-ins, functions, writing sessions, backing vox, vocal/performance coaching, and production/sound engineering.********************************Studied classical flute for 15 years, earned auditions and acceptance into many specialty bands and woodwind ensembles such as U.S. Northeast District Band and International Youth Festival Emsemble tour (England). Went on to play sax, percussion, piano, guitar, and mandolin.********************************Been singing for 19 years; professionally singing for 17. Also collaborate with song writing (music, lyrics, melody, harmony, arrangement). In bands in Boston throughout the 90s: Pump Up, Chillin' Good, Crossed, Full Moon (with Christine Luther, mega-crazy-awesome guitarist!!), and my last two bands: Cheshire Cat and Blended, both of which are resurrected from time to time for cool projects.********************************Currently support/record/arrange with: Gary Smejkal (!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check out Gary Smejkal's latest CD release: Like A Moth to the Flame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!); support/gig with Mike Gacek of Take Two; just started new Cheshire Cat project********************************So life-- what's my take on it? Here's what I think: learn... be alive... love... pay attention... give to those who are deep enough to appreciate it, wise enough to know when to return it, and fun enough to laugh about all of it... this ain't a dress rehearsal...
