About Me

RAW ELEMENTZ COLLECTIVE.... The Spoken Word Group and Alternative Hip Hop Band, began as an experiment in 2008 by Nuyorican Hip Hop Poet OL SoUL and since then has formed into the force behind So SoULFUL Sundays Open Mics (THE MOST WELL KNOWN OPEN MIC SERIES IN THE HUDSON VALLEY, NY AREA) as well as a standout in the underground hip hop and poetry landscape. The group features esteem lyrical emcees/poets OL SoUL, Lemuel, BOX, D.B. and the musical mastery of drummer Mr. K, Saxophone and Bassist Passionate Pete, Gituarists Bagz and Greg Groove.Members of R.E.C have performed @ venues such as The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, SUNY NEW PALTZ, Brandies University, Philadelphia Rotunda, SUNY ROCKLAND just to name a few.....And have performed with artists the calliber of Talaam Acey,Tato Laviera,Piri Thomas, Immortal Technique, Hasan Salaam, Jermaine Paul (of Alica Key's Diary) Amir Sulimain, La Bruja, Taylor Mali, Shappy,(all of HBO Def Poetry Jam Fame) and many others.........For further information and for booking information contact [email protected]
