The XZACT Entertainment Group began as small individual companies with the mission of setting and maintaining standards with the utmost regard to providing valuable services within the music community and related fields.
XZACT is a collective of entertainment services such as XZACT Management, XZACT Promotions, XZACT Bookings, and XZACT Productions established in New York City in 1996. The XZACT Entertainment Group, Inc., is the parent company to the XZACT services and is the innovation of Zach Westerfield. Through XZACT Management services are rendered to music producers, performing artists and DJs where as the company develops, acts on behalf of and in the best interest of the artist. XZACT Promotions works directly with non-music companies in concert to advertise and market its products and / or services to music savvy customers. XZACT Bookings negotiates and arranges all aspects of one-off performances, tours, and charity affairs for artists worldwide. XZACT Productions is a creative outlet whether providing nights of entertainment at venues or working in collaboration with other entertainment and / or media entities. The XZACT Entertainment Group is an emporium pioneering and cultivating industries globally through knowledge and knowing how to use it.
Zach Westerfield began his journey in entertainment early in childhood pecking away at piano keys perhaps before he could spell his name and spinning Disney Collections repetitively on a mono-speaker portable record-player. Though it was in 1992 when his career in music and the music business really started to take shape. Through an internship it all began at an Indie Label known as Maxi Records, it was there that the desire to know, understand and grasp the concepts of music business came into fruition. In order to absorb everything demanded 40 hours + schedule in exchange for the priceless experience and knowledge; hence the term "paying dues" this made way a couple months later a career and paycheck.
Not realizing at the time, Zach had found his niche and soon after he assumed the title of National Promotional Director at Maxi Records. Paving the way to success, he first promoted the comically song, "Funk Dat" by Sagot (a.k.a. Chico Jump Slam), supported by the Underground Club Scenes, Top 40 and Urban Cross-Over Radio and the video made popular by "Beavis and Butthead" on MTV, generated sales in excess of 80,000 copies in the United States and earned the notoriety of a Gold Single.
Over the years Zach has worked independently, directly, as a Liaison, Publicist, Promotional Directors, Project Coordinator, A&R for both Major and Indie Labels as Motown, Sony Music Japan (Avex), A&M, Emotive Records, Wave Music, BMG, King Street Sounds, Maxi Records, and KULT Records. In addition to having had the pleasure and experience in working with and developing artists and their music as Diana Ross, The Brand New Heavies, Loletta Holloway, Towa Tei, Fran..ois K., Danny Tenaglia, Kevin Aviance, Ian Appell, Elias Miah, The Ananda Project, Dynamix, Eddie Cumana and many, many more. His discography includes many Number 1 Singles charted in Billboard Magazine as well as globally, a multitude of Gold and Platinum Records, and recognizable names of artists and producers whom have pioneered timeless music and the business of music. Zach Westerfield has been a panelist at The Billboard Music Summit, The Winter Music Conference, The DJ Expo, and other forums consulting on topics as Marketing and Promotion, A&R and Artist Development, and Making the Music Business Work for You. Zach Westerfield has managed and produced special events and launch parties for companies as Ford Motor Company and The Queen Latifa Talk Show, R.J. Reynolds & Company, Bacardi Rums, Levi'.s Strauss & Company, Karl Lagerfeld, Paloma Picasso, Chanel, Details Magazine to name a few.
