Lawless Records originated in 1996 out of Menlo Park and East Palo Alto,
California. Lawless Records presented their first group 'Neva Legal' in 1998. Neva
Legal's first album Potnaz In Crime presented something new and original for the
rap scene. The group included artists; G-Man, D-Dow, Money Marc, and Lawless
Records co-founder; Band-Aide. Lawless Record's CEO; Big Skenny and
Band-Aide lead the label to such success that they began Neva Legal's second
album No Gimmicks, Still Lawless. This album includes an action-packed DVD of
Neva Legal's hottest performances, free styles, and interviews. The album was
released in 2003 in dedication to the passing of Lawless Records' backbone-Big
Skenny. The legacy still lives and the Lawless dreams are inspired even more.
Soon after, Band-Aide and Boo of Hood Stars Inc. coordinated to executive
produce Lawless Records' third album Dem Hood Stars. Artists Band-Aide of Neva
Legal and Scoot Dogg of Totally Insane teamed up as the duet for Dem Hood
Stars and are also known as " the best combo since burger and fries". This album
entitled Hood Stories is hot! Featured artist include Keak da Sneak, San Quinn,
and Yuk Mouth. Producers include Sean T for Git Gone Productions, Ghazi for
Assembly Line, and P. Testa for My Own Damn Music. In 2004, Chelle Baby of
Remedy Entertainment also BIg Skenny's closest confidant partnered up with
Band-Aide to expedite Lawless Records. Together they found success and signed
a distribution deal with Time Warner. Ready to drop in April 2005 with
engagements to Paradise Recordings and ADA/ Time Warner are expected to be
the biggest drop outta the Bay. This album is promoted with the help of Cartier
Entertainment and SBC DJ's Rick Lee. Request available through KMEL's 106.1
for singles " Can't Leave Rap Alone", " Came A Long Way", and " Hot Young
Chicks".
In the works, Lawless Records fourth album, executive producer Chelle Baby
debuting Money Marc of Neva Legal. Also coming soon Dem Boys with artists
D-Boy and G-Boy. And look out for Young Bunk.
