This profile was made at Whateverlife.com! :)Have been playing keyboards 48 years. Although rooted in R&B and Country, performances, for the most of my life, with bands/artists like Delbert McClinton, Sawyer Brown, Exile, Johnny Paycheck, the Hagers, Shelly West, Ronnie McDowell, Steve Wariner, Mel McDaniel, Billie Joe Royal, T. G. Sheppard, Percy Sledge, and Clarence Carter and many others have been rewarding. Over the course of many years, I have played with local bands from the likes of Stonebird Revue (Emporia VA) in the '60s, to Nicky Harris Band, Roy Allen & Crossroads, Mike Jones and Ambush (now Diggerfoot), Lady Luck and so many more. Here I learned the importance of staying focused and sharpening my musical skills to be the best I can be. I have to thank Buck Harris many years ago for telling me to take my butt back home and practice and not come out of my little room until I was good...I did and learned the keyboard licks to "I Feel Lucky" by Mary Chapin Carpenter. Now I can stand my ground against anyone and not be intimidated, while at the same time recognizing someone is always better but not necessarily the BEST! The West Virginia mountains (Seneca) and the coast of NC (Oracoke/Oregon Inlet/Currituck, where I 4-wheel), are my favorites. I REALLY ENJOY BEING ON STAGE AND LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST! It is always wonderful looking into the eyes and faces of fans and know they are having a BLAST! Performing for so many years in Myrtle Beach with the great bands from the Carolinas AND the great names in Motown is the highlight of my musical career while with Delta Riders and High Roller Band! I now perform with a terrific group of musicians...THE MAIN EVENT BAND (www.themaineventband.com) OR (www.myspace.com/tmeb)! My dream has always been to have an opportunity to be in a band where I could be appreciated and respected and not have to put up with all the excess negativity that accompanies so many bands...I have it all with Al, Casey, Scott, Jeremiah, John and Marlo...THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO CONTINUE TO LIVE MY DREAM GUYS!
