Alas, I will make some changes to this profile! Where shall I start? First, it is safe to say that I am in the “..............um..............†stage of my life. I have always been devoted to the same things, everyone knows them: God, Family, Team. Yet, for the first time ever I am without a team. Having a third of your life motto abruptly ceasing to exist can be somewhat overwhelming at first. I am still not positive if this is a blessing or a curse, what do you think? All I do know is that it is time for some change. I am about to graduate college and then it is time for me to actually make life decisions of my own and venture out in the world.
I know that people claim to stay true to character regardless of circumstance, but I am starting to think that is a illegitimate fact in life. Life is a elaborate and complicated process and it most definitely has some events that, in one way or another, shape who and what you are. Thus, making it relatively safe to say that people obviously change over time. With this being the case, I am in for interesting happenings in the near future. Moreover, I think it is a good time for me to stop and reflect, as well as evaluate, the things I choose to do in life. I will be the first to admit, I have had it thoroughly easy throughout my college years and I may have taken some things for granted. Thinking now, I am not proud of this fact, but it still doesn’t change that it is, indeed, true. The challenge now is to determine how to best better myself in a way that will also benefit those around me. I am not promising any miracles, but I think that things will be much different in the way I approach people and my life from here on out. Who knows, maybe I will stop verbally attacking everyone who I come across. Just don’t think I wont call out horrible opinions or absurd statements, I will just do so in a more calm manner and perhaps without such deliberate wit.
I don’t think I will ever get out of my own “perceived notion of reality†simply because I think everyone was made different and should express and celebrate being unique. I know, easy to say coming from a mixed kid, nevertheless true enough. I still make up one fourth of a very eclectic group of roommates and still have a great time everyday with them. We are mellowing out our ways and I think the world is a better place, yet not as fun, because of it. Now, I will just sit back and see what events unfold to shape my life.
