Me,Myself & Ilene

About Me

Steve and Ilene are from opposite ends of the Appalacians, Steve from North Georgia and Ilene from upstate New York. Steve worked Jacksonville's bars in th 80's with the Brandy Station Band before forming 101 Damnations in the 90's and putting out three albums of original, somewhat off the wall rock music. Ilene was part of the Phantoms in New York, performing tight harmonies of Doo Wop style music. Together they draw from each other and duet their way through four sets of familiar, but hardly played out classic pop and country style songs. You may hear an old Kinks or Byrds tune followed by a Hank Williams, or Patsy Cline song. They'll also throw in some contemporary Liz Phair; Cure, or Lucinda Williams, for good mix. It's always fun when they slip a parody in the late night sets too!
