About Me

Supersonic are Chelmsford based indie/alternative DJs and Promoters Dave Patterson and Shawn Clark. The first Supersonic club night was held in July 2006 at The Steamer in Chelmsford. Previous to this, the pair had DJed on a number of different occasions at The Steamer including a slot at a wedding reception, a leaving party and an indie set as guests at a old school hardcore and jungle event!.Supersonic club at The Steamer slowly established a loyal following, however this was cut short in December 2006 when the landlord of The Steamer moved on to pastures new. Following the departure of the landlord coupled with the fact that the new owners didn't want live music of any sort, Supersonic were temporarily left without a home. However, it wasn’t long before the Wheatsheaf stepped in and offered the duo a weekly slot on Monday evenings following some successful trial nights. In May 2007, Supersonic proudly hosted the Indie stage as part of Panic in The Streets of Chelmsford which saw some of Chelmsford's finest indie bands, The Brights, Soprano and The incredible Bendigo Tennyson play blistering live sets to the masses. Popular local covers band Squeal opened the evening with a crowd pleasing set of covers by popular indie acts including Oasis, The Arctic Monkeys and Razorlight. The runaway success of the Supersonic indie stage subsequently led to The Wheatsheaf mangement handing over the first Saturday of every month to Supersonic to DJ. In addition to The Wheatsheaf, Supersonic have spun tunes at The Hole in The Wall, Colchester, The Fleece, Chelmsford, The Essex Arms, Brentwood, The Cellar Bar, Chelmsford and the Two Brewers,Chelmsford. Check the calender for upcoming dates.Supersonic are also available for private parties and are always up for playing at new venues.Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts
