Wayfaring Strangers have stood for several years now for musical versatility and harmonious, melodic vocals. Like so many others Wayfaring Strangers began life as a pub duo. This experience helped them develop the ability to play with a lot of drive, almost like a rock band, to the most diverse of audiences. Even though they now play a lot of their own material this attitude has remained, sometimes making it difficult to categorise them.
Neil Grant comes from Warminster in the South of England. After leaving university he began playing in Pubs in Germany over ten years ago. In 1994 he teamed up for the first time with Martin Ahrndt from Cologne. It soon became clear that the pair would be together for a long time. Martin provides the musical versatility on various instruments which completes the Wayfaring Strangers picture. With their own songs and their interpretations of other sometimes well known songs Wayfaring Strangers have quickly built up a steadily growing fan base. This is held intact by an equally steadily growing mailing list and the use of modern internet technology, to help keep people informed of latest developments.
The fans of Wayfaring Strangers know that their performance is always worth getting up for.
