KALAP

Beginning of the band "KALAP"(en."MOLD") date back since summer 1999, from the garage of the bass player Cipko.This garage was a meeting place of the members of many bands from SKopje,like"Fluks","Nemost","Superhiks"and others,so "Kalap" is product and result from jam-session of Danko(drums-FLUKS) and Cipko and Lepi(bass,guitar-NEMOST). Duly,part of "KALAP" also were Daro and Dime-truba(Superhiks).The first gig was with Daro(percussion) on the "ALARM" festival 2001 in Ohrid. The first(and only)album of "KALAP" is recorded LIVE in the Univerzal hall in Skopje on the 5th of August 2003 by Alen Hadji-Stefanov, but this record was waithing for 3 years to get out on the market in Skopje!!! So ,2006 "KALAP" sighned contract with "E GO EAST records" thanks to good ear of the general manager and also executive producer of the first "KALAP" album, Nenead Nedelkov - Nele. The cover for the album is art from the grafic desighner Andrej Marjanovic. Mastering was made by the guys from the band "ZhLUST". After recording the album,Lepi decide to go to Vienna and study jazz.After 2 years Cipko goes to Vienna on the same konzervatorium,but history of the "KALAP" continues in Skopje,not Vienna....happily!!! From 2006 "KALAP" works with more energy than ever. The style of the band is very hard,unspecified,very loud , with fast rytham and quick changes in harmony,and also,- instrumental....untill now!! "KALAP" are now in the preliminary of the new album, and there are few songs with vocals....wow!!
