About Me

My World Visitor Map!
a Reggae, African, Rock, Jazz, and Soca band (phew!) based in the Richmond area. We call ourselves XKalibre when we play our rock sets. Sometimes both names... which confuses the hell out of everyone. Both band names are inevitably spelled wrong by promoters everywhere. Anyways, we have a set of over 80 tunes with full horn section and three part vocals and another 60 or so that we play with just the rhythm section. This version of the band has been playing together for 4 years now, although some of the band members have been playing together as long as 15 years. We play every year at the Sun Run, and the Carribean Festival in Lonsdale, as well as various other venues around town, including a monthly spot at the Fairview pub on Broadway, and a quartet that plays monthly at Toby's Grill on Commercial. <
