Prone To Violence + Skatopia = Broken Arm

About Me

Prone To Violence formed in the fall of 2003 from members of Infant Mortality and Pneumya, both from the Dover, Delaware area. Originally billed as a 3 piece band with Ron and Bryan sharing vocals, the band set out to play punk rock that was reminiscent of the heydays of 80’s hardcore punk. Early on, the band realized that they needed a front man to help intensify the live show, so Bryan’s younger brother Jon was drafted to lend his voice and youthful attitude to the band. This lineup solidified the band and they became a mainstay in the Delaware Hardcore scene, playing often and creating a strong local following.
After 3 years together though, several shows throughout the DE/PA/DC area, and a few self released CDs, the band decided to disband due to departing band members. As the members parted ways, they continued to stay focused on local music; with members going on to form local bands The Odd Squad and Whigor Mortis.
But 2 years later, as chance would have it, the original members crossed paths again and decided that it was worth a shot to get the band back together, so in the summer of 2008, they began rehearsing and writing new music together again. Shortly after, they enlisted Jimi Ale as front-man and the band was once again the power 4-piece that it was known for.
New CD, "One Man Gang", available at Interpunk.com. Check it out!

A Day in the Studio

3/4 of Prone To Violence spent the day buried away in Bong A Lo Studios recording our new record.  Looks to be about 9 songs, all but 1 are new, and 4 of them are "never before heard" songs, hell...

First Practice in 20 months

Well, we got together for the first time since July '06 last night.  Things went pretty good and the 3 of us were able to remember 12 songs, so progress has begun.
