About Me

I was born in Charlotte, NC in 1966 and began playing guitar at age 13. My first band experiences were in high school and college (Olympic High and Appalachian State University respectively), but I didn't start playing the clubs until the late '80s. My first performing band was Right-of-Way...a cover band that consisted of several of my dorm mates at ASU. My first serious band was Rapid Fire, an all original group that played heavy metal in what was then a very happening live music scene in Charlotte. Since then I've played in and recorded with several other bands until leaving my final band, Ultra-Vibe (cover band) in early 2006 to spend more time with my family. I have also been a guitar teacher since 1996.I recently co-produced the album "Overkill Is Just Enough - The 12-String Bassist Collection". If you are interested in this massive instrument and its sonic capabilities then this is the album for you.I currently live just outside of Charlotte with my wife Mary and our two kids, Sarah and Joshua....and the menagerie!
