Keith is a veteran with over 15 years of experience in the television and recording industries. This Baltimore, Maryland, native began his career in 1989 as a production assistant with Black Entertainment Television. During his nine years with the network, Keith served as the co-creator and Supervising Producer of Rap City and received a NAACP award for the television adaptation of the play "City of Peace". He was honored by The Source Magazine when given the number four position in the magazine's first publication of their prestigious Hip Hop's Top 30 Power Players list (4th only to Russell Simmons, Sean Puffy Combs and Lyor Cohen).In 1998 Keith moved to Los Angeles where he and director Bille Woodruff formed Geneva Films, a multi-media production company. As the Senior Vice President of Production, Keith established Geneva as a reliable and respected production company by developing a roster of award winning directors, particularly in the R&B, Rock and Gospel music genres. With over 200 music video credits, Geneva produced and created music videos for such popular artists as Britney Spears, R. Kelly, Celine Dion, Simple Plan, Fat Joe, Toni Braxton, Luther Vandross, Cash Money Millionaries and Master P. In 2000 Geneva, in conjunction with The Source Magazine, The Heritage Network & Dick Clark Productions, created "The Source Soundlab", the 1st network Hip Hop dance show, which aired on UPN.In 2003, with Geneva dissolved, Keith began to pursue further television ventures. This led to a brief reunion with Black Entertainment Television as the executive producer of their entertainment magazine formatted program, "NYLA". Next he served as a producer for Showtime's hip hop reality show, "Interscope's The Next Episode".In 2004, Keith formed the production company, the Phoenix Entertainment, which opened the door to venture into new territories. In addition to producing a number of straight to DVD documentaries features for Image Entertainment (a distribution house based in Southern California), the Phoenix also produced a national convention the SEIU (homecare workers union).Known for ability to maximize production value within a wide range of budgetary parameters, Keith has consistently developed and delivered highly rated programming. As a result he is frequently sought after for consultation by both the television and recording industries.In 2005, Keith partnered with director Dr. Teeth and Tracey Hicks by becoming the new Executive Producer of the Florida based boutique production company amply named, The Filming Company. Under Keith's leadership, The Filming Company has grown to a roster of 5 directors and has branched into the television and independent film production business.Look out for new projects from The Filming Company in the near future.
