Settle in for a great tune from Jackson Browne. On the day I was born, all the nurses gathered around and gazed at wide wonder at the joy they had found, sorry, wrong story.
Here goes, born and lived in Long Beach til I was eleven. Had my life turned upside down when we moved to a farm in Missouri. Didn't stay long, moved back to Ca. for a couple of years, then settled in Lancaster. Joined the USN in 68, its more then a job, it was an adventure. Had the pleasure of visiting the Caribbean, the Med, North Atlantic, Brazil, Africa, Middle East, and a few places I can't remember. Some I'd like to visit again, others, just scratch them off the map. Got married, divorced, remarried, and now widowed. Blessed with 4 wonderful kids, two boys and two girls, and none of them are in jail.
4 or 5 grandchildren, depends on who's counting.
I try not to take life to seriously. I have a dog and cat now to take care of, both left to me by my youngest.
Right now, I'm self employed, in the telecommunications field. Most of the time it's a decent job.
