About Me

I'm a pretty standard issue student. I spend more time and money than I should on my social calendar, but it stops me getting stressed out by uni work. I'm a journalism student which means, as well as doing all the normal degree stuff you'd expect, I also have to do things outside of uni to get noticed. I've been writing reviews, editing the ents section of the student paper and doing work experience. Basically doing a lot of work for free. But I'm happy because I love writing about music so much that if I manage to get a free gig ticket in return for a review, I'm happy. Nothing will be as exciting as the first review I got published. Although seeing my by-line in NME for the first time will beat it, I'm sure... I'm seriously hoping to spend the summer before I graduate working in Germany. I worry if I don't go there soon, I will forget how to speak German. I'm not fluent or anything, I just love being able to speak another language. But until my degree is done, I shall be chained to my desk reading about citizen journalism, begging record labels for interviews and trying to get breathalized on camera.
