DJs Danny Dior and Diego Rodriguez joined forces to form D opposite D in 2005, following years as solo artists. The combination of Danny’s extensive production background and Diego’s South American influence creates an explosive mix of skill and wicked progressive tech beats. Their performances are a sensory spectacle, taking the crowd on a journey where they hear, see, and feel energy and passion the duo has for the music. The duo have toured extensively throughout the Netherlands in clubs such as Zebra Lounge, The Mansion, Escape, Subterraneo, Club NL, Supper Club, Sinners, Panama, Melkweg, Paradiso, Plan C, just to mention a few. D opposite D have also played worldwide in Belgium, Mexico, Germany, England, France, United States, Panama, and more.
The duos attention to detail grows more evident with each new track they produce. D opposite D skills in their DJ sets and in the production studio have rapidly stirred things up in EDM community. Famed Cream DJ and producer Lee Ellis and Steal My Oil label head Middleman have signed the duo for exclusive remixes of upcoming releases, including Lofi 010, a favorite of Sasha.
2007 has proved a dynamic year for D opposite D in the production studio. Within four months, their latest tracks, The Light, You Know, The Sine and Opposing Stars, were all picked up by major labels. Summer 2007 marked the beginning of their South American tour, maxing capacity at every venue. Currently D opposite D are in the studio working on highly anticipated remixes for Middleman, Mike Montano, and Cristian Paduraru, and five other original tracks to be released on various labels later in the year.
Danny Dior
Danny was born in the Netherlands. At age 31 he is surely one of Amsterdam’s best kept secrets. A natural born performer, Danny is more than just a DJ; as a producer he also entertains, enthuses and ignites his audiences. Danny has worked with industry heavy hitters such as Hed Kandi, Purple Eye Records, Nite Recordings, and more. With more than 13 years of production and entertainment experience in dance clubs, events, radio and TV, Danny has honed his ability to match musical, commercial and vocal talents with any type of given event.
Diego Rodriguez
Born in Uruguay, Diego has always been drawn to music. His natural music talents enabled him to rock high school parties in Montevideo by age 13. By the time he reached his late teens, Diego began playing in large parties and working with renowned promoter Alfredo Etchegaray in Punta del Este (the Ibiza of South America), playing private events and fashion shows. Upon his return to Montevideo, he became a resident in club Bozzo. His South American roots and his own personal style reflect the latest minimal, progressive, tech-house and tribal beats.
